Just bought this in the steam sale. This game is great. Although I kept shooting some woman, which ended the mission. Then one time I got an achievement as I did it and it caused the mission to not restart, so I just got stuck.

I need to shoot his grenades but there's too short a warning when he's about to shoot, I'm either reloading, halfway through getting into cover or flailing about in last man standing.
If you're constantly shoot dodging then you don't really have to worry about shooting his grenades since most of them will miss you anyway.
[sp]I recommend staying in cover you start in all the time, when you're in cover you can take 1 grenade, when you're standing up and you're out of the cover you die instantly. As soon as you start, activate bullet-time and do as many headshots as possible, I've managed to headshot every enemy that has already spawned as soon as you start during a single bullet-time burst. Make sure you can see Becker most of the time so you're ready when he fires a grenade.[/sp]
That's at least what I did during my 5+ playthroughs and what I did during my NYM Hardcore run.
I got past that part by going into bullet time and headshotting the first 6 dudes in the hangar, then shoot dodge until cutscene
I'll be honest, when they first announced Max Payne 3 I didn't mind he was bald and with a beard, my biggest fear was the game moving to Brazil. Now after playing the favela level it's one of my favourite levels. But the New York/Jersey levels are pretty sweet, too.
And thank god for Passos.

Yes, but I wouldn't be surprised if the sale repeats itself. Even if it doesn't, it will definitely be 33% off until the end of the sale which is still a pretty good deal, but it's also an extra $10.

It was worth the 60 dollar preorder and the long wait, so 30 bucks is a killing.
$60 is a bit of a stretch if you're not buying it for the multiplayer, which is slowly dying.

Just got it by the skin of my nuts with 1 hour left in the sale by selling an unusual and some hats from TF2. :D
I'm on chapter 6 and loving every bit of the game. $30 is a steal for this game.
I just got done with the game. It was amazing. Really well done.
I thought the multiplayer was going to be tacked on piece of shit.
But I'm surprised how in-depth it is and the different gamemodes, especially the story ones. Probably the most fun I've had on and offline in a very long time.
Another thing is I think I've never played game with so responsive animations. Like when I tried jumping backwards when I knew the wall was just half meter away. Of course Max is going to hit hard and not magically slide down to the ground.
My download for this game is at 2%, and my download speed is averaging 50kb/s.
This is going to take a very long time.
Oh lordy. My computer sucks so on low everything at dx9, I get about 30 fps even throughout the whole game.
The [SP]Panama[/sp] level was the hardest so far. Fucking automatic shotguns.

It happens to me occasionally. I think it has to do with the matchmaking system having trouble finding you a game when there aren't many people on. Try a different game mode for a while.
Just beaten the game. Overall I'm more than satisfied and to the true die hard fans of Max Payne. I think this game isn't 100% noir but more like 50% noir and 50% is Max feeling like a real person.
Max's monologues leave me laughing for so much of the game. It's just so cheesy.
