Just got the game and I am getting a "Online service is disabled on your Social Club account" error.
Rockstar's support recommend that I completely uninstall Max Payne 3 as well as Rockstar social club and then reinstall. But I don't have the Internet bandwidth allocation to re-download MP3 and LA:Noire, Does anyone know of a way to fix this issue without deleting the files?

Any help would be appreciated.
Got MP3 in the sales, was wondering if and how I could join the FP crew. It's lonely playing without friends :smith:
Even if MP3 isn't exactly like the previous games, it still has the spirit of Max Payne (if that makes any sense), and that's what counts to me.
Maybe it's just me but the writing doesn't feel as awesome as the earlier MP games. It feels kinda repetitive with all the comparisons to strip clubs and hookers and whatnot.
I only remember two strip club references: the smoke and mirrors one and the sex club comment [sp]from the final level[/sp].
Any word on when Local Justice will actually be released on PC?
No clue. They haven't even mentioned the delay on the newswire.
In the meantime, Open IV has been updated to listen to/extract Max Payne 3 audio files.

Extracting, cool.
But can we import ?
Otherwise i don't really see the point. Atleast for modding.
Modding is coming. Model formats are a tad different than GTA IV, but texture importing should be in the next couple weeks.

The guy hasn't actually said that, but importing textures is a lot easier if they're relatively the same format as they were in GTA IV, which they've already done.
I love going through all the MP lines, like Vinnie's for example are hilarious.
Oh wow.
[sp]There are voice files for Captain Baseball Bat Boy, and based on the context of the lines, they're for him to be a multiplayer character.[/sp]

It also sounds like there was/is planning to be some kind of multiplayer gamemode involving a car or a tank.
So im starting to get the grip of multiplayer..finally when im either stuck in loading screen, game crashing or joining empty matches
also, whats the best zone to hit when your target has that kewlar vest that downs damage to the chest?
tried hitting legs but the damage is too slow still

I just assumed those lines are for when a car/fuel tank is on fire about to explode.

Have this funny Vinnie line
Jesus Christ, heavy armour and dual deagles can really push some shit in.
It may have already been asked but is there any way to get the season pass DLC for the retail version? The retail stores here (Philippines) don't sell it anywhere so I need to find a way to get one online.

You can buy it from Amazon.
Why do people say it's 12 hours, it's 7. Oh and is it possible that the level 20 sniper in multiplayer is the most overpowered weapon since grenade launchers?

...What?
...What?
Campaign length.
Edit:Am i wrong?

Last page in some image it said the game was 12 hours long, I got through it in 7.

oh wow youre so fast i wish i was as cool as u!!!!
do you want me to give you a medal
It took me near 14 hours to get through my first run on hard. Rockstar said it would take between 8-12 hours in a thing awhile back.
I've put quite a bit of time into the game myself, though.

Honestly, the extra hours would come mainly out of dying and possibly running about trying to find secrets in a first run with no clue of what to do or where to go. Especially a first run on the consoles; the mouse precision makes headshots on the PC version ridiculously easy when mixed with bullet time and thus cuts a nice ol' slice out of the difficulty right there. (But not all of it, since the game's still balls hard.)
It took me nearly a whole day to beat SP since I was playing it on hard on my first playthrough. And add on exploring areas.
So I got the game.
It's fun, but holy shit is it ... odd.
The AI for -you- at missions is just pathetic. Unless it was just for me, but I had a scenario that;
Passo was taking cover behind a circle thing, in the graveyard. He just sat there. Popped up, and went down. Meanwhile, a -bad- guy was directly adjacent too him. Ignoring him, and completely going after me.
I do however, like how the AI tries to avoid your shots by dodge them slightly.
The random spawning NPC's area bit annoying, just after you finished a small area they try too push more shit on you.
I raged a couple times, and I haven't even touched multiplayer yet.

ahahahaha
max payne's multiplayer has one of the roughest beginnings to multiplayer i have ever experienced
once you get out of the rookie playlists you'll be up against legends equipped with grenade launchers and sniper rifles

The Xbox multiplayer community (at least on free aim, which I preferred) seems to have died out last few times I checked. Which is a shame, aside from what I felt to be odd weapon balancing I had a lot of fun. I say odd because I got slaughtered anyime I tried to use rifles/shotguns but could do a fair bit of damage with just the starting pistol and sneakers.

oh god
I'm going to be bald before I'm 30
I am going to burn a Max Payne CD with all my favorite jams and licks, then at the end of the CD I'm going to put the line at the end of Max Payn3 where [sp]he finally plays his tune on the piano and says something about how that was the soundtrack to his life.[/sp]

oh don't worry, that's not even the worst part
The weapons are so unbalanced that even with good skill, a higher ranked player will kill you first 7 out of 10 times. If you make it through until the first major unlock point (20, 25?) then things get easier. It doesn't help that unlocks don't happen every few levels, but instead Rockstar decided to give you half the weapons at a certain level, then the last half at level 40.
It is borderline hilarious how bad the multiplayer is in terms of structure. I love the multiplayer to death; it's some of the most fun I've had playing online in a long time. The problem is that it's also been one of the most frustrating at the same time. Every so often you get a weight limit increase, which means players of higher levels get to carry more gear, they get more perks, they get more attachments, etc. Some of the weapons are just simply better than others. There isn't a preference factor at all. X weapon is better than nearly ever other gun in the game.
So, to sum it all up. You take forever to unlock anything, while higher level players have a significant advantage over you nearly every time. It is as if the people at Rockstar never played a game online.

I'm just rambling and raving here, but I love this game to death.
The critical issue here is that because Rockstar couldn't sit down and take time to make sure the game was fair, the multiplayer will die off. Couple the balance issues with the shaky matchmaking, and I don't see the MP lasting longer than another 2 months.
