I am also a bit disappointed they're not all classic maps. The only painful memory in there really is just Roscoe Street, but I am excited for the other maps as well. Ragnarok would have been a great map since it was in both games. There is also a title update for the game earlier today. I got MP3 during the sale (finally) and all I have to say is this: It looked like Max Payne, played like Max Payne, sounded like Max Payne, but it didn't feel like Max Payne to me.

You know what weapons I would really like to see? More pistols. Frankly, assault rifles is not something MP3 does well AT ALL. Why? Because they still haven't balanced the accuracy or TTK even a single pistol has over them. And don't even get me started on how fucking badly Euphoria handles 2 handed weapon character movement. I don't know about you, but I feel like I'm constantly struggling with my character who feels like he's stumbling around drunk and fucking sluggish as hell. Constantly I have been in situations where the character literally [I][B]moves by itself[/B][/I] when trying to adjust their body posture or otherwise fuck around aimlessly. They take longer to stop running with a 2h weapon and they figdet and fuck around when trying to do something as round a corner or subtle peeking movements out of cover. Also, the recoil and bloom on most 2h weapons is also laughable. Your character can manage the recoil of two high powered pistols like a fucking PRO, with minimal to no recoil whatsoever, but give him something he needs to hold with two hands and his arms turn to rubber noodles. That either leaves doing incredibly small bursts, or single firing. and in both cases, you will get your ass BEAT DOWN against any sort of pistol user. If I use a single Bull .608, or M1911 or even the B92, I always fucking kick the shit out of anyone using any sort of assault rifle, even at assault rifle ranges. Or at least AR ranges I normally see people engaging at. Just put a compensator or laser sight/gas system and extended mag and you will easily out damage any two handed weapon no fucking problem. It's really absurd how accurate the pistols are. It really is. I know a big draw of MP is doing stupid matrix like shootdodges, but when put in the same game as an assault rifle [I]it does not fucking work[/I]. I can't count the number of times I have seen someone try to shoot dodge me with an AR or SMG, only to have me shoot their fucking head or chest almost immediately. Another thing I would like them to fix/incorporate are shotguns that can actually HIT SHIT. The fucking spread on those things, even the Sport is LUDICROUS! FUCKING LUDICROUS! The only situation it becomes useful in is point blank! That's the only range the high damage actually pays off vs the long as shit reload time! And at that range it would probably be easier to just melee them. Also, the attachment system looks like they just gave up after a while. Although, I'll give this up to a personal gripe but the interface for editing classes is fucking SHIT. Needlessly so. Like what fucking idiot thought it was a good idea for you to press four random fucking buttons to do something as simple as changing your loadout? Why can't I just click on the class I want to change, right click on the weapon I want to remove/left click on the weapon I want to add/modify and click that little circle to indicate if I want to use it as a starting loadout? Like EVERY FUCKING GAME EVER MADE? It's like they hired someone who has never designed a loadout UI before who was fucking clueless as to a logical and easy way to design one. And now what? They decide that the weapons they should be adding are [B][I][U]MORE[/U][/I][/B] assault rifles? As if the assault rifle class hasn't been inundated with more samey SHIT weapons already? Don't they fucking get it? Or do they just lack the confidence to expand on a weapon class to which there has been NO additions to launch and risk actually having to put something out there that balances and competes with the other established weapons? I mean I would love to see a burst firing pistol. There is no fucking reason why it isn't in the game, at least none that I can see. The only concern I would think there is is that since pistols have NO FUCKING SPREAD it would be easy to get headshots. Well, hmm I wonder how this could possibly be fixed? Probably by giving pistols some more spread when fired. They could do the same with assault rifles. How about a burst firing assault rifle for a change? I know they like incorporating a plethora of shitty full auto ones that have almost no distinction from one another, but maybe JUST MAYBE they could go out on a limb and get a little creative with their weapons. You know, provide more tactical and situational distinction between them. I mean, fucking REALLY? More assault rifles? This isn't a fucking war game where everyone would have every type and variety and top of the line high tech weapon out there. I sort of expected more domestic weaponry to be honest. But what fucking ever. *whew* Rant over. I just had to say it because it has been something that has been bugging the SHIT out of me since MP3 launched, and has come nowhere near being addressed. Pistols are better in every single fucking way. Much more agile movement, high firepower, pixel perfect accuracy at maybe a [I]slightly[/I] slower projectile speed. The maps, however based on those limited screenshots do look interesting, and would more or less be the reason why I would buy the DLC. I want to be absolutely clear about that, seeing as they make up the larger part of the package and have more to offer. I am just really fucking disappointed in R* when comes to changing up gameplay more universally when it comes to their weapons.
I do admit most of two-handed guns in this game are very bad compared to pistols. But they aren't all useless. Some maps are great for sniper rifles and I can even get good score with some assault rifles, especially the M4 and the other DLC one. But I agree, some more balancing wouldn't hurt.

Is the Rockstar Pass community still active?
The multiplayer in general isn't very active. It's been a bit better recently with so many people who bought it on the Steam sale, but it can be difficult to find players often. I don't regret purchasing the pass, though. Same model as in MP1 and not the HD remake that Rockstar did. His back texture is a bit different, though, which I think is because Remedy gave Rockstar the original source files for Max and they changed the texture after the fact without updating the source. I wish I had the Rockstar pass. Tried playing multiplayer again and I never found one game with about an hour worth of searching.
Anyone else keep getting "The patch was corrupted" when trying to download the newest version on PC? Non-steam version.
Every time I try to find some players to play with in MP3, I won't find [B]anyone [/B]for at least 5 tries, after which I [I]might[/I] find someone. And sometimes, when I find someone, it disconnects me because of the "connection problem". I hate this so much...But multiplayer itself is really cool. Also, this happened when I randomly got kicked while loading the map in multiplayer. I don't think so. That e-mail isn't just for fan art, and I've sent art before that they've responded differently with. Unless they have an automated machine that scans e-mails for the word 'art' and automatically adds the recipient's name after "Dear X," which I don't think Rockstar would do as they're a very hands-on company, there must be a man working for Rockstar's support department that thought I was fucking stupid for one whole minute.
