FUCK THIS PEICE OF SHIT DRM
god, there is something wrong with your fucking company when it takes half a fucking hour to get around this piece of shit to actually play the fucking game
I paid money out of my own fucking pocket for this shit and it gives me "EL OH EL THERE WAS AN ERROR WITH THE ACTIVATION SERVER"
FUCK YOU ROCKSTAR, LET ME PLAY THE GODDAMN GAME
-EDIT-
Finally got it working, the game itself is awesome. DRM still sucks though.
Took me about 9 hours finishing the campain on medium. Stopped to get a few golden parts when I saw them and got around 5 weapons completely unlocked.
I didn't know you coud vault/climb until somewhere around mission 14, so that might have been a reason it took so long :v:
Medium? PFF GET ON MY LEVEL
i finished it on the maxium possible dificulty
my fingers and my senses where completly destroyed by the time i ended
specially the last level i just keept dodge shooting every 2 seconds so i could at least see how i got shot until i died :V
also is MP still alive? i have no DLC at all and i dont wanna redownload all the 32 GB again at the super speed of 122 KB just to found out its dead

I couldn't do the worst difficulty at the first run, thought I could start with medium to learn how to play.
Also MP is not very dead iirc, I've played one match and it was easy. MVP'd over people at level 5 :v:
Ugh, so in Multiplayer there seems to be a hack where a player would spam bullet time on and off. It lags you the hell out and you can't do shit.

There should always be one DM and one TDM match going, But if you want to play the other game modes or the DLC you shouldn't bother.

Ah, this has decided me on whether to buy the season pass or not. Paid DLC seems to split the community up in most cases. Never shooters such as BF or COD though.
Anyone know where I can get this cheap? I didn't buy on the flash sale as I wasn't sure at the time.
This one is half-off for $15 with Steam activation (there's another one for non-Steam though). http://www.amazon.com/Max-Payne-Season-Pass-Download/dp/B00A9XQ868/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1356725857&sr=8-7&keywords=max+payne+3
Although I just checked Steam and every Max Payne stuff is still on sale. The Pass is the same price.
Have they fixed the horrible matchmaking yet or is it still this:

it doesn't take that long, You either find a game nearly instantly or get plopped into a lobby alone. (The latter is way more common)
So after getting Max Payne 3 from the steam sales and completed it I felt that I wanted to play 1 ofr the fist time and replay 2 so I got both of them on steam.
After having to fix the game with compatibility and patching the sound I keep on getting this ballshit mouse lag in Max Payne 1 that makes it unplayable.
I looked up guides and they say to disable mouse acceleration but that did shit all. I thought I would ask if anyone knows a fix because I would love to play them.
I'm on Windows 7 64 bit in case you ask btw.
Just completed the game on hard. I actually breezed through it which is incredible considering i had trouble on easy previously.
Only difference is that i got a graphics card that could run the game better, Felt like i really enjoyed the campaign for the first time.
Just finished Max Payne 1, fantastic game, but now I'm onto MP2 and a friend recommended I download "payne effects 3"; though looking through it a lot of features look really shitty.
Should I download it/any other mods for my first playthrough (I probably won't do a second) or just play vanilla.

vanilla of course.
The inmersion is lost with those kind of mods, they are fun yes, but dont mod your first max payne 2 experience, thats wrong.
Someone asked that in a news post recently and they made a nice comparison. It would be like playing through Half-Life 2 the first time with SMOD.
[sp]Fuck this piece of shit Panama mission, god damn.[/sp]
Im behind the truck but still getting hit from somewhere jesus.
I have Passos' ASS engraved in my BRAIN.
Shit I'm so fucking lucky, was going to buy MP3 earlier, now it's on sale for $22
If you haven't picked up the Rockstar Pass yet, it's $7.50 on the Steam holiday sale.

Keep in mind that the next DLC is going to have co-op, so it might be a good idea to pick up the pass now for the same price you'd be paying for the co-op DLC.

Co-Op?
Like, a campaign?
I don't know. There's no details for it at all other than it's a co-op DLC pack. It's more than likely it's going to be like Red Dead Redemption's co-op DLC where it was you and a few friends against AI hordes while trying to complete objectives.
Open IV was updated the other day and included a model viewer for Max Payne 3. I was looking around and found the beta model for the UFE. It's the same other than the blue isn't as blue, and the logo is different. Interesting nonetheless.

Shit, this thread is still rolling.
Awesome. Also awesome Co-op is coming. Imagine if it had redux versions flashback of Max & Mona missions.

I'd be happy if it was just a horde mode, I've been wanting a horde mode in MP3, though as long as the maps aren't as tiny as Dead Man Walking. And I hope you can play it alone too.

Bringing game changing mods to your first experience with a game is like bringing a buttplugs to the first time you have sex: you need to be old and jaded to appreciate them.
Does max payne 3 get better or is it seriously 3 seconds of fighting, 10 minutes of cutscenes for the whole thing?

Trust me, shit ramps up to the max.

It's a series of firefights connected by straight corridors and cutscenes with no other gameplay. As the game goes on the firefights get bigger and longer with lots of cool locations.
If you like the shooting, then it's immensely fun and satisfying. If you don't then you'll get bored very quickly.
Also shootdodge is best dodge.

I dunno, I don't mind the shooting. But it feels really simple and easy.
Like in a single 10 hour shootdodge I can kill everyone in a room.
I also miss the graphic novel stuff. I'll push on, but at the earlier levels at least, I just find it boring.

When assault rifles come into play you'll be spending a good deal of time cowering behind a bin, so it'll get a bit harder.
Also if you liked anything about the previous Max Payne games' style or story then just forget it, this game has more in common with Die Hard.
