I think the new cut-scene/comic book style is pretty cool. It's kind of like the cinematic feel of CSI: Miami montages. It's "modern". ...I'm not sure if that's an entirely good or bad thing though.
I do actually kind of like what they did with the cutscenes. I'll still miss the original comic book style, but Rockstar really wants this game to flow as smoothly as possible, so doing it the way that they are is understandable. They really need to change that godawful cover art, though. It's not badly drawn or anything, but it just looks like a mess of concept art that doesn't fit the motif of the Max Payne games at all.
It may not fit the old Max Payne games, but it does fit with Max Payne 3.
I think it's too generic. It has that orange/blue scheme you see everywhere these days. It doesn't have to match the previous cover art, but I'm amazed they ditched that iconic silhouette style in favour of a GTA style cover.
Just beat the second game on Hard-Boiled. The only thing that stands between me and alternative Mona ending is Dead on Arrival now. Gonna set up Payne Effects 3 or something to make it even more enjoyable.

Will we be able to link our steam account to social club? Or are we stuck with GFWL again
How long will the Steam Max Payne 3 offer where you get 1 and 2 last for? Will it last right up until release?

I mean, duh, yeah, they're colors, but still. I don't see much... emphasis? On them. And I fail to see how it's in GTA style. Are you talking about the way the characters are positioned? And the helicopter. I don't know - different perspectives, I guess.
Will we be able to link our steam account to social club? Or are we stuck with GFWL again
Max Payne 3 isn't using GFWL.
Max Payne 3 isn't using GFWL.
Source? I'm sure you aren't lying but I'd like to see it anyway.
Oh shit, there's new shit. Interviews on the After the Fall graphic novel, and a very nice detailed video breakdown of the bullet time in multiplayer. It's fucking awesome too, look at this: Check out the video here as well as the rest of the news post with the information that is in this post, but better organized. There are a few soul-shattering scenes that map out his life in New York after the events of Max 2, very recognizable moments for anyone who has played the earlier games. He is lost in his life, a punching bag really, and then there’s that turning point, when he takes back the control, the scene where he shaves his head, when he once more becomes that very dangerous avenger we all know and love, that to me is the defining Max Payne moment that brings it all home in the best possible way.
Guys, what console should I get this for? PS3 or Xbox?
Guys, what console should I get this for? PS3 or Xbox?
They're pretty much the same thing but i think somebody was going to make a crew for the PS3, So if you want to hang out with other FPers that would be a better bet.
Guys, what console should I get this for? PS3 or Xbox?
Xbox.
Holy shit, I can't believe that it is actually coming next week.
Holy shit, I can't believe that it is actually coming next week.
Holy shit I can't belive that it comes out June 1st for europeans on PC.
The fact that this is out after my exams means I will be playing the living shit out of the multiplayer with the FP crew once I'm done with the single player. Damn I'm pumped.
Holy shit, I can't believe that it is actually coming next week.
Which means one more week until I have to cut myself off from this thread.
Yeah, I'm cutting myself off from this thread next week as well. I want everything to be a surprise. The only reason I'm not going to get a console copy is because I will want to get a 100% completion with the game with all of the achievements, and I'm going to be burnt out after doing it the first time.

Ugh, I'm so eager to play this game but at the same time I'd prefer getting it on PC rather than on the Xbox. I'll have to avoid this thread aswell. I want to play with the PC Facepunch crew I guess <3
I can't wait to play some MP with you dudes once this is out on PC. Just like everyone else, I will be taking hiatus on May 15th. Will be back on the 29th describing my jizz stream size after playing.
Multiplayer will be great fun, Hopefully we end up with a nice looking crew uniform so we can scare the crap out of people by running at them all at once.

I haven't seen anything about it.
Steam version will be. No word on the retail version.
It's all connected to the Rockstar Social Club; tracking, achievements, Crews, matchmaking, etc. Actually, I'm not sure if achievements are a part of it - but I would be surprised if it wasn't.
I'll probably pick this up for Xbox, as my PC will probably have a shitty time running it, can't wait to play the multiplayer.
Man, I can't believe console people only need to wait one more week. The day it releases on consoles is going to be payneful.....
