Just beat the campaign
[sp]I wish the ending was a bit more monologue-ish, something didn't sit right with seeing Max all peaceful at the end. It seems like how, through the entire series, everything has turned out bad, but the ending cutscene might as well been the words "Everything is now good." appearing.[/sp]
Multiplayer is good, although it can be incredibly frustrating if you're not doing well.
minus the buggy bits where if someone has a bad connection, they cannot be killed at all (I mean they literally have godmode on if their connection is bad), the load times are a bit long and installing it doesn't seem to help at all, and there's been a few times where it's taken me 15-20 minutes to get in to a single match. not sure if that's because of lack of players or just a bad matchmaking system
Just finished my first game of Team Deathmatch, it was pretty fun and played like a more hardcore and polished version of GTA IV's Multiplayer

A lot of that has to do with connections, as you said. I was speaking of the actual multiplayer. Internet issues is kind of a variable that shouldn't be counted against it.
Anybody want to form a gang on PS3?
I'm online on Xbox right now, my avatar is rocking a jacket with an FP logo on it.
Alright now I look like a dork with a bicycle helmet and a LAW

Thought I would post this. Not sure how accurate it is, plus the other specs aren't given.
To compare, a 560 is pretty much the same as a Radeon HD 6870.
Use hwcompare to have a very vague idea (as if this isn't vague enough already) of how you fit if your card isn't on the chart.
I don't know exactly where a 480 would fit, slightly under a 570 and above a 560?
I have no idea where a 6770 would fit. I am really bad at ATI cards.
Just put in a request for the main FAPS crew,
should be Zambo4816. can't wait to play multiplayer, i just beat the story mode a few minutes ago :v:
Just finished up Max Payne 1, it was fuckin' great. Now I gotta get Max Payne 2 finished up in time for May 29th.
So, from what I'm getting, a 5770 would be slightly above an 8800 GT?
For the single player, I just wrapped up the first disc (360 review copy, I hope to get the PC version later for my own enjoyment).
Absolutely fantastic game so far.
I played a few rounds of multiplayer and yeah, I can definitely see myself playing a lot of that in the future. It just feels so right in so many ways.
Edit: I just looked at the MP stats on the Social Club and they seem way off. I played only three rounds, had postive K/D ratios each round (led the team all three times and was even the VIP in the last match I played a few hours ago), yet it says I have more deaths than kills? That's definitely not right.
Beat it! Probably a good 6+ hours of straight gaming. That last part [sp]where buddy has the grenade launcher on the runway, was a fucking bitch to pass.. I almost raged quit, then I tried one more time and beat it.[/sp]

Wow, I just finished the same game just a few minutes ago.
[sp]In my opinion, the final "boss" was a bit anticlimactic.[/sp]

Yeah, so looks like you and me are getting around 25-35 FPS. Should be much higher with AA and shadows toned down.

[sp]It's the same with the second game, really; compared to the rest of the level, the final boss is a cakewalk.[/sp]

[sp]What's funny about the boss(not the plane, grenade launcher one), is that compared to, say, first boss, who was badass scrarred guy, who simply died from pushing QTE, this one is short(EVERYONE is taller than him), doesn't look threatening and sounds like french, but on 1st run, he took me about 20 tries.[/sp]
Can someone help me? I wanted to replay MP1 and MP2 for old times sake. I whipped out my copy of MP2 (retail) and installed it to find that it won't launch. I searched online but no luck. Anyone got a solution?
If you're getting on the console, make sure to pick it up at Target for this bad boy:

GTA IV for free
damn online is very fun
I think it's really great that during the Rooftop segment of Chapter 12 there are no checkpoints until you finish it completely, meaning you have to fight like five groups of enemies with no painkillers, and if you die, you start completely over.
This game is good, and the difficulty is consistent with Max Payne 1 and 2, but holy shit the saves were so much better in that game.
I bought max payne 3 today, the store I bought it from had one of those cool bullet pens as a preorder bonus, but no one preorded from their store so they were giving them away for free.
Time to beat it on Hard!
My 6870 is about the same, if not the same performance as the 560 Ti, so my performance according to the graph will be great, 45-50fps is definitely enough.
Man those system requirements are high as fuck.
Spoiler, no spoiling!
How is that a spoiler? You can tell that there's a Chapter 12 from the main menu, and saying there's a rooftop segment doesn't spoil much, since it seems like Max instinctively goes to the rooftop of every single building in the goddamn game.
I'm saying it's a very poorly designed segment of the game. That's not a spoiler.
So how's the game guys? I haven't played it yet because I'm waiting for the PC version. Is it as good as the first two or even better?

I'd say it's as good as the first two, but it can't be better. The gameplay is definitely better but I miss the atmosphere of the first two.
Thank fuck they didn't put in regenerating health

I think it's by far the weakest of the three, seeing as how the bullet time and the name of the main character is basically the only thing that connects it to the other games. Whoever's writing Max isn't very good at it, since he changed from "Dark, gritty, metaphor-spouting monologue-minded noir detective" to "Foulmouth action hero who has a sarcastic one-liner for every situation in the game."
You can attribute that to the change between developers, but it still strikes me as incredibly lazy. It's like they're not even trying to make it seem like the first two games. It's Max Payne: Grand Theft Redemption edition, minus the freeroam elements of both games.
That being said it's fun, and overall is a pretty good game, it just doesn't feel like 'Max Payne' anymore.
