I think it's the same in Finland, and in a lot of European countries. Games usually get released in Fridays. It's a bit odd.
It's fucking convenient that Finland has Friday release dates. The only downside being the possible cockups of the Finnish mail system. Jeez.

If I had enough money to go to the nearest city and buy the games at prices of 60-70e I'd agree, then you'd have the whole weekend to play.
But since I'm a poor bastard, I have to pre-order my games from Åland or completely abroad and it tends to rely quite a lot on luck if I get the game Friday or not.

Indeed. I tend to get all my games from VPD or such. Sometimes I just can't wait and buy the game from a local store or some shit. Sometimes even PSN/XBL
All that I want Rockstar to announce at this point, is preloading. If nothing else is said up to Friday, I'm going to be worried.

Every and any store in Finland. Anttila, Prisma and such, which are kind of like Walmart I guess, are the worst. The cheapest new games are [i]at least[/i] 60 euros, the most expensive I've seen was almost 80 euros. The taxes here are fucking horrible.
And that's why I always (pre-)order from abroad. Or Åland, if someone won't count it as being abroad. It's around 40 euros, and I consider it cheap :v:

If I remember correctly, you had to navigate to the disc's content and start installing directly from the installer, it won't work through the launcher.
I just played it on 32-bit Windows 7, you know. I did have some audio issues but they were easily fixed.
So when do we get to pre-load?
I can't wait to go to this game's midnight release. There's probably gonna be no one there because hurr durr PC gaming sux but I want my hands on the Collector's Edition stuff.

Well... FYI I'm finnish myself and I haven't found those prices anywhere, I always shop games in either gamestop or gameparadise here in turku.
I have seen that games in big chain stores like gigantti or citimarket are overpriced but nothing like you describe. (by overpriced I mean that it is priced 49.99€ and that price stays full while for example gamestop has it for 14€ after like a year or so)

Three serious complaints about the multiplayer: movement, grenades and melee.
My character gets stuck fucking everywhere. Even if you're [i]slightly[/i] pressing against walls or objects, you don't seem to move. At all. Sometimes this leads to my character not shooting, even though I'm ADS and smashing RT - I guess this has something to do with Euphoria thinking I'm staggering or something.
Even without all the obstacles the movement is pretty horrible. I'm playing with someone who's carrying an AK47, a pistol and two grenades - a bit over 10kg of equipment, if even that. It shouldn't take even a second to stop running right and start running left. It's not realistic. It's irritating.
Taking cover and leaving cover sucks too but since I play small tdm and dm, I rarely use cover so it's not a huge problem.
[b]Grenades.[/b] Takes a minute to throw one and jesus christ, what the fuck is up with range? Grown men throwing tiny grenades maybe 10 meters away. It's like they weighed 8kg or something.
The slowness in itself I can understand, it's somewhat realistic. Removing the socket does take a second or two. Combine that with the clunky movement, though, and you get tons of situations where you throw the nade into the wall or object you're behind. Once my character thought it'd be wise to [i]roll[/i] the grenade like a bowling ball, not throw it - Yeah alright, the problem was that there was a knee-high wall right in front of me. So she basically dropped it there. Killed myself.
And lastly, [b]melee[/b]. Never assign melee into the context-sensitive action button. It just doesn't make sense, I should be able to melee whenever I want, not just when there's someone next to me. If you do, however, assign it into the context-sensitive action button, make the character at least hit the target when you are prompted to melee. Tons of times I've died when I had run behind an enemy, fucking missed the punch from 10cm away and the said enemy turned around and one-shotted me.
I'm not sure if I should blame Rockstar, Euphoria or R*'s way of implementing Euphoria. Overall I absolutly LOVE Euphoria (didn't like GTA IV but still spent ~20 hours with it, fucking around with Euphoria), but in MP, I'd rather take normal ragdolls and slick movement over super-clunky movement and life-like ragdolls/animation technology.
Still, the multiplayer is fucking great. I love it. If it weren't for these three things, I'd probably play non-stop. I've taken four or five pauses from MP today and they were all thanks to these - I was getting so frustrated of the clunkiness that I had to stop and calm down a bit.

I have to admit, I haven't been to Anttila and the other shitholes in a while, maybe the prices have dropped.
In fact, for the last two or so years I've ordered every game I've wanted online.

Played some more online today. FAPS represent. The grenades are fucking impossible, grown men throwing objects the size of one's fist - nope, 2 feet away.
multiplayer would be better off without grenades.
AK-47 is the best weapon in multiplayer.

It depends. In my time playing with the Rockstar guys last week they brought this up. Apparently dual wielding pistols are a MUCH better thing to have for close-range combat. Yes, even better than an assault rifle.
However, from medium to long range, then yeah, the assault rifle will reign supreme. It wasn't just some off the cuff stuff either, we definitely saw it happening in the MP time and time again. It wasn't a 100% deal but for close range combat, dual wielding is where it's at.
