Waiting for Friday is agonizing. I want to play it. And waiting for the pre load is just as bad. It's going to take me a very long time to download it and will already miss the release because of how long it's taking them to enable preloading.

I'm really on the fence about getting the pc version. I kind of feel like i just want to get the xbox version becuse money is tight, and i can return it later. But pc is going to be much better [i hope]. I want to use the mouse controls because the xbox controller doesnt lend itself to this game well at all. Especially for some of the slow mo segments in single player.

Holy shit. I was the last one alive in Survival (or whatever, each team has 24+ lives) and clutched. My life was saved due to the shitty grenade system - a nade bounced off a wall, landed in front of me, then I rolled backwards to find a guy that meleed, but missed, and the grenade killed him. I also did some fancy circle strafe shenanigans which saved my life. This game can be really intense sometimes.

I honestly think that the multiplayer so far in max payne is broken. I'm just sticking with single player

Rented out the new max payne on ps3 the other night. I'm pretty pleased with it to be honest. It's nothing mind blowing, but like everything rockstar makes it's just rock solid. The thing that always impressed me about rockstar's games, especially over the past few years, is the attention to detail on everything. I like how you can pretty much play the game as a something of a tactical shooter if you please now, and I enjoyed the more realistic feel and setting. I don't miss the classic noir theme tbh, modern noir works just as well. Regarding this, I can't be the only one who noticed this is literally influenced directly by the film, Man on Fire. Seriously whoever the creative director was must have been watching that shit when this came up on their radar. Shit even the visual effects are identical. It gets fucking repetitive sometimes, but oh well. The AI is honestly probably some of the best I've seen in a game for a while. It's very rare I can find a shooter that doesn't have jarringly retarded AI or walking SHOOT ME targets.
