Greatest moments in the games gents? I mean... I don't think that i can point which half life game is the best...
I was going to list things.. but then i realised i could narrow it down to
anytime i move fast with a powerful weapon and happen to be dodging an ungodly ammount of bullet, bomb or claw. Usualy these areas involve music.
What's your favourite way to kill combine then?
Throwing a barrel at them on the most atmo-fuckin-spheric bridge in the world, then watching their body slowly hit the ground hundreds of feet below me, making a small splash, then a seagull screeches in the distance.
Boy I love the coast.
What the fuck is Garry's problem with Alyx? Did she shoot his dog or something?
It's not Garry's problem with Alyx, it's just Garry being a douche as usual.
We need an RTS based on Half-Life. You control the Xen creatures and have to kill as many Black Mesa personnel as possible. You also have to deal with Special Forces and the army.
You'd use Xen Energy to spawn in other creatures; you'd have a steady supply of head crabs but otherwise you have to buy more monsters. You can use the Xen ecosystem to your advantage; you can command a bullsquid to attack a headcrab, letting it eat the headcrab for a base health recovery. Because it'll always heal the same amount regardless of the health of either the bullsquid or headcrab, it'll work to your advantage if you let a damaged bullsquid eat a nearly-dead headcrab.
Final boss is Gordon Freeman.
Do you guys think Dr. Rosenberg could've survived the portal storms and is somewhere in the world, still alive?
He escaped from Black Mesa along with Barney, Walter, and other two scientists.

There is a RTS mod based on the events of HL2:
Valve has stayed mostly quiet about its plans to enter the hardware business, but in an interview with Kotaku at last night's Video Game Awards, Gabe Newell confirmed the company's plans to sell its own living room PC that could compete with next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft. The biggest revelation is that Valve seems set to release its own complete hardware and software solution.
Seems interesting.
Half-Life 3 as a release title?
that would make sense
I don't believe what gaben announces not anymore :/
Edit : I don't give dumb ratings.

I think we all thought about it when we first heard the rumors of Valve's console.
To be more specific, it's more of a PC less a console.

Actually a better Half-Life based RTS idea would be this: at least 4 playable factions: HECU, Xen, Combine and the Resistance + a neutral/nature faction. Each faction has unique units (some factions would have to use the same units though, Vortigaunts would be used by both the Resistance and Xen for example). A tech level system, when at the highest level you can recruit special units (basically hero units) e.g. Advisors for the Combine etc. Unit categories would be:
Infantry
Light vehicles
Heavy vehicles (e.g. synths)
Air (helicopters)
Air (planes)
Artillery
Navy
Special
Engineer/Builder
Basically, think Age of Empires/Empire Earth but Half-Life themed.
That's the idea I got at this moment, I'll post more if I think more about it.

I want my PowerPlay :(

I think it would be kind of intresting if we met him, Simmons, and Bennet at the arctic outpost that Judith is at.
I've got a bad feeling that Episode 3 isn't going to be revolutionary in the least, and it'll just be all the same props, weapons, and characters, just in a new location with even more unanswered questions at the end.
That's just me being pessimistic, though.

And then half life 3 releases a month later and blows everyone's minds.
SPUF has been down for two days now. What the fuck is going on?
Last time it was down equally long, it was hacked.

I also asked Newell what sort of software they're working on these days. He wouldn't give specifics, but he did reiterate that they're working on their next-generation engine—which he said will work with next-generation consoles as well.
"Hopefully that's gonna give us some interesting opportunities on the game side," he said.

Does anyone have an image of what was in the front fold of the half life 2 box? You could flip it open and there would be an image of city 17 or something.

You opened it up and it had a picture of the old City 17 from 2002-ish.
