At least those zombies still had bits of jumpsuit, made more sense than everyone having just a white shirt. but they're all fat
The whole perpetual white shirt zombie thing was always a mystery to me, i replaced the white shirt zombie skins with a c17 jumpsuit one and never looked back. [editline]29th December 2012[/editline]
I think originally the fat zombie was kind of one of the stages in the zombie's life. The headcrabs would lay eggs down the human's throat into their stomach where baby headcrabs would grow. This would essentially cause the host human to look bloated and fat. Eventually the baby headcrabs would burst from the host's stomach, causing the final stage of the zombie process. That's why the zombies that we see in retail have their chests ripped out. I remember hearing or reading this somewhere but it might not be canon/credible at all. It makes sense to me though and I've always liked this idea.
I doubt that, because it essentially makes the gornarch form obsolete. I think that the headcrabs we see in half life 2 are bred by the combine, hence why they develop open chests instead of maws, meaning that they will eventually starve to death.
Kind of related:
Reminds me of the mars-rovers. Is it them the animator have depicted?

I beat EP1 with only one bullet, do I earn a medal now?
Oh wow. [t]http://fdeschoemaecker.free.fr/Halflife2/magazine/2.jpg[/t]
now that looks like something from 2003, even older
What if the reason the recent steam sales have been lackluster, is because Valve has gone into full Half-life 3 mode?
165 days till E3, maybe something will happen between now and then.
CES, baby.
What if the reason the recent steam sales have been lackluster, is because Valve has gone into full Half-life 3 mode?
Come to think of it, that big old company isn't really working on anything besides DOTA at the moment, and they don't need their entire staff on that game... And then there's all the Steam people, but there can't be too many of them...
CES, baby.
Valve's booth: Compared to known size: LVCC's website says S116 is 44 x 29 ft (13.5 x 8.9 m) if that map is to scale the Valve's booth is 50 x 20 ft (15.25 x 6.1 m), so a pretty decent size. I wonder what they'll be showing...
Oh wow. [t]http://fdeschoemaecker.free.fr/Halflife2/magazine/2.jpg[/t]
they've come a long way.

I'm guessing a lot of big-screens set up running Big Picture Linux on a bunch of "Steam Big Picture Certified" partner hardware (ie. Ailenware, Asus). Also maybe the modular controller they were working on.
Don't they usually announce things here? Maybe they'll announce their next distraction from Episode 3.
they've come a long way.
The only real difference between those and the final zombies is that valve ripped their chest cavitys open and gave them all abortions.
Oh wow. [t]http://fdeschoemaecker.free.fr/Halflife2/magazine/2.jpg[/t]
Almost remind me of the fat zombies from Doom 3, just with headcrabs attached. I really like how excessively bloody those are though

Anyway, a fat zombie? "YABBA! MY- OOH! CAKE ICING!"
Similarly to Chrysallids from XCOM? Anyway, a fat zombie? "YABBA! MY- OOH! CAKE ICING!"
Or like Facehuggers, you know, what Headcrabs were originally based on? :v:
Reminds me of the mars-rovers. Is it them the animator have depicted?
Yep. Guess I should've been more clear about the link.
.
I hadn't thought about that before, but it makes perfect sense.
FYI, the mod "Depot" has just been released, it's a fanmade remake of the original Half Life 2 beta wasteland. I'm downloading it now, gonna post a review soon.
This is taking so long i forgot HL even exists :v:
So, I haven't really been to this thread in a while, when's Episode 3 being released?
My friend asked to me wich Half Life character I would like to bring to real life. Who do you want? Maybe I would bring to real life Alyx.
Oh wow. [t]http://fdeschoemaecker.free.fr/Halflife2/magazine/2.jpg[/t]
Didn't the poison zombie reuse this for its model?
