I remember Floater_TWO spending a month battling dumb overwiki editors to try and get them to change it from the wrong APC to the Cadillac Gage.
I'm trying to removed references to the BRDM-2, but the page seems to be broken, trying to edit it just gives an error.
well with Gordon knowing what he now knows, surely he could inform Eli or stop the test.
"Yes, what is it? Gordon, I don't have time for this. Fine, don't want to talk? Leave me alone until AFTER the test!"
"Yes, what is it? Gordon, I don't have time for this. Fine, don't want to talk? Leave me alone until AFTER the test!"
"You want to charades now? We're late starting the test as is!"
That mod that consisted of the original GCF files from 2004 has been deleted from SkyDrive, and the thread has been removed from Steam Forums; did anyone download it and could they re-upload it somewhere?
Hey, I was downloading it!
Someone turned off the damping fields that covered Black Mesa which meant that when the resonant frequency of the crystal sample was reached by the anti-mass spectrometer instead of simply analysing it it caused the resonance cascade and tore open a dimensional rift.
This bit of info sounds familiar but I can't remember where else I've heard it. Source? Also, you seem to have a pretty good grasp on the story. What're your thoughts on the "unknown entity" tying Freeman and the Vorts together? 4th-wall shenanigans?
From Filip's Steam screenshots: [thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/540693576040424489/75A89588C10114FE7417950473C54038A4F729BF/[/thumb] Although he claims this "will not be included in the final version," I believe it's fair to say Filip has completely lost sight this project's original and humble goal: a bug fix for Valve's crappy Half-Life 2 Mac update. I don't care about Origin PC or Softpedia, I just want Breen to stand up in his office when I teleport my ass in there. Is that so much to ask?
I don't know if my brain is bugged or something, but it looks like he spent all the VRAM / texture memory on the container and the wood. The Northern Petrol house and the container in front of it look like one single sprite.

I don't think the steambox will be a success. I hope it will be. But it's got no brand recognition in comparison to the xbox/ps3 which are fucking huge. plus i reckon the controllers have a chance of being fubar.
I think it will be more of a PC than a console.
Yea like that thing alienware put out a while ago. Look at how that worked... (Not that well) I think it will come with something more revolutionary, like how they were saying that the standard mouse and keyboard hasn't been changed in a while. My guess is VR or something of that nature.
I got a disc from my friend last night that appears to be a Half-Life 2 promotional disc. It's got a copyright date of 2003 and says Rating Pending, and it has a handful of bik files on it. I'm gonna check them out in a bit. Has anyone heard of a disc like this because I tried googling it and nothing came up.
Would still be amazing if you uploaded it for us (there are .bik video players out there)
I'm putting them up on Dropbox right now, but my internet's slow as balls, so I'll post the link when it's done. It's weird because they're EXEs, but they're still bik files, which I'm guessing is their way of making sure people could play them without a Bink player.
Here's the download for all the clips. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/74742445/HL2%20Videos.rar They're all in this youtube video, just without the audience chatter and not recorded with a camera.
The apc looks like it can barely carry 1 person.
I somehow missed this post, but I want to point out something. While the APC does look extremely small for, well, an APC, they are usually encountered with only a few soldiers around, typically 2-5 (including the driver). While that would still be cramped, I'm sure you could fit that many inside. It just looks small to us since we like having personal space, but by the design of the APC and Dropship Containers, it seems the Combine has little value for it, and prefer efficiency. It's like when you have 40 people on a bus designed for 25, it's possible, but it's not comfortable. I'd say it can hold 4-6 people + the driver. Depending on the speed, you might get an additional couple to ride along on the outside as well (this was not uncommon with real war vehicles either).
*browsing internet for something to do, decides to read IGN to laugh at the bias. Looks up "top 25 PC games", gets "top 25 modern PC games" instead.* Let's look at this #8- TF2 #6- Portal 2 #2- Half-Life 2 Episode 2 (HL2:EP2 gets #2, lolwut?) #1- Bioshock. WAT.
Where is Half Life 2?

There's nothing wrong with the HL2 APC.
Where is Half Life 2?
It was "modern games", nothing before 2006.
It was "modern games", nothing before 2006.
shouldn't that be 2007 i mean, that's when CoD4, the first shooter that also revolutionalized video gaming, came out right
shouldn't that be 2007 i mean, that's when CoD4, the first shooter that also revolutionalized video gaming, came out right
CoD4 created FPS genre
I thought blops 2 was pretty good actualy. The story was great (except for the mason part...) i felt realy good for getting the best ending. This is from someone who absolutely hates everything made after world at war. I liked it more/equal to cod4. As for half life 2 versus the episodes... I think that if you put the episodes together + one more... the product would probably be equal/better.
Does anyone know how to fix the Source Particle Benchmark as the one I have now won't open, just plays the intro video. Any ideas?
Kinda wish that we got to see more 7-hour war wreckage in HL2.
Well the Combine probably have cleaned everything up. I mean, they had what 2 decades?
Still hoping the Combine have some have some of their pre-7 hour war tech stashed away somewhere on Earth for extreme situations. Would be interesting to fight enemies like the Combine Guard or something.
You know what I have always wanted to see? Half-Life 2: Survivor ported to pc as a mod, if it doesn't get ported loads of half life 2 fans will never get a chance to experience it, which is a big shame.
