I hate fighting striders and gunships. They are programmed to not miss.
Maybe its because I played on Medium but I never had trouble with striders or gunships

Alternatively add +mat_hdr_level 2 to your launch properties in the steam library and you won't have to do the above every time you play.

Anyone else having trouble installing Blue Shift Unlocked? I decided to pick up Blue Shift again but stopped as soon as I saw the orange hud.

There's a space right next to the Strider, I believe it's the place you're supposed to go after you kill the Strider. I'm pretty sure it's not blocked off, so you can just slip right down into it. I'll look for a video. Here it is, at 7:15. If you're speedy, you can hop in there without interacting with the Strider and taking a bit of damage. It didn't really enter my mind that I wasn't supposed to kill the strider when I played that part. One less horror in the world.

not sure what's the deal with that strider yes, it will duck and avoid the orb, but immediately after you shoot one, just aim the others down where it's going to duck to, repeat when it stands up
Absolutely hated that bit on my first play through. The strider seemed to have infinite health, I fired so many energy balls. After it killed me, I just went "Fuck it" and sprinted past it.
It'd be awesome if this project could be like an open beta, where we can play it as stuff gets added, and receive updates regularly [editline]3rd February 2013[/editline] wait this isn't the hl2 enhancement mod thread, help

If they don't re-release Raising the Bar with a big updated section for Half Life 3, they are missing out on a mountain of money and a mountain of satisfied customers. I'm sure everyone would love to read about all the behind the scenes stuff it has gone through since Episode 2 came out.
I would love to get Raising the Bar without having to pay a fortune for it
