I've never actually finished it, but I keep meaning to.
If they don't re-release Raising the Bar with a big updated section for Half Life 3, they are missing out on a mountain of money and a mountain of satisfied customers. I'm sure everyone would love to read about all the behind the scenes stuff it has gone through since Episode 2 came out.
I would pay the huge shipping fees if I have to.
I always wondered what the Combine was doing in space, Certainly if they can build giant-ass buildings, They could do well in space. That would be so fucking awesome, if in Half Life 3, You could go into some giant combine space station, Having a tiny little jet-pack. Or if the combine just have a Centrifuge module, Which would make more since. But still.

That would just seem like Crysis to me.

Long jump module.
Also, suddenly reminded me of the Vogon Constructor Fleet from the Hitchhiker's guide movie:

I thought of something like that once, where a few hundred years later, the Overwatch launches a counter-attack to retake Earth (much weaker than the original invasion force). Only problem is the glaring plot hole where if they have the power to do that, why didn't they just use that power to open up superportal off-world? Could never think of a good reason for why they would need Earth to do it, meh. Was a fun concept though.

I always found it funny that a bunch of combine with super technology couldn't completely take over earth. Losing a citadel like that doesn't seem all too super alien overlord to me.
Could someone explain to me who ordered the Black Ops to kill the HECU? It doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense to murder your own soldiers when they could of just worked together. Or they could of just told the HECU to bring in the nuke instead.
One of the reasons I think the combine could never fully overtake earth is because of the hugely invasive xen species. The creatures that caused the Earth to be invaded by combine are also helping get rid of the combine.
I've actually concluded that it might be plausible that the Combine aren't space faring at all outside of possibly satellite technology. I consider it more likely that endlessly experimented in tunneling and have it highly developed. Instead of needing to fly, they tunnel to wherever they need to be. That's not to say they aren't, it just might not be such a major field to them.

I hate it when people refer to Gordon as Mister instead of Doctor. It's shitting on the one thing a doctorate guarantees.
I'm glad I got one before they become so rare
I got my copy second-hand for some $20NZD.
Can you feel the bargain? Can you feeeel it?

I feel like I'm the only one who would enjoy a Half-Life based webcomic with a cartoon-ish style like that - and not in an ironic way like Concerned. All of my friends seem to hate the idea of a hand-drawn comic centering around someone other than Gordon, let alone one where Gordon speaks, but chartering the adventures of disposable, expendable rebels before and during the Uprising sounds like something I'd fucking read.

Hell yeah. Not even just comics, any medium that details the adventures of a couple o' rebels during the uprising to the white forest to beyond would be fine by me, especially if it had a little bit of a comedic sense to it.
I like to think that the HEV suit has a sentient AI, with a personality that comes out in it's voice clips, and how it transcribes audio for the weapon names and subtitles.

I always understood the quote of that Black Ops soldier "Why do we always have to clean up a mess the grunts can't handle?" as the own goverment sent they to end the whole incident quickly, after seeing that the H.E.C.U. couldn´t handle it.
The clean up of the marines probably was done for eliminate those soldiers who left behind after the retreat, i think.
Can't wait for the Portal 2 Artbook. Fucking pumped to see the amazing concept arts they made for it.
I hope this is the year of a new Half-Life reveal. It has been far too long man.
Seeing the drawings by makani makes me wish valve commissioned her to do a Half-Life comic

Every year that passes without half life news, a little bit of me dies inside.
Makani's artwork make me think of concepts for Disney Pixar Movies.
wasnt he the guy who created the administrators look from tf2
I believe so, yes.
The Administrator's appearance has a storied past. It started with a fan rendition by the artist Makani, which spread around the Internet, proving to be rather popular. Shortly thereafter, the artist was invited to Valve headquarters for a visit where the design was then purchased. Many months later, during the promo for the Haunted Hallowe'en Special, a woman with a near-identical face could be seen standing next to Zepheniah Mann on his deathbed. Finally, on December 9, 2009, the Administrator's face was officially revealed using Makani's design with some slight clothing modifications. With the release of Meet the Director, the Administrator's appearance has undergone more changes.
Maybe Half-Life has a half-life release date of a year or so?
