well your point is stupid and doesn't fit in a realistic scenario since there's been hype ever since this was discovered in the first portal game
doesn't even compare to the subject of episode 3
Does anyone else think Half-life and it's expansions and sequels had the greatest soundtracks?
I mean having this:

While a military apache and shittons of soldiers are on your ass while you run around a canyon with only centimeters to save you from plumetting to your death and then getting an RPG is just amazing.
However i dont exactly remember where in HL1 this plays. It might not play there and I will sound like an idiot.
It didn't feel as powerful in HL2 though.
I liked the Gonarch music.

Whenever I hear this I remember the old Goldsrc multiplayer loading screen things. They'd always have that music playing.
Best music:

Since we are on the topic of posting amazing songs from Half Life.
Nuclear Mission Jam is the song where you just think: "Fuck yes! THAT'S HALF LIFE!"

Why are people rating you dumb, that's so rude.
Welcome to Facepunch. We have a daily rain of boxes here.
Not sure what would show you my agreement...
Ticks or boxes?
Oh please, Opposing Force is where it's at

I'm rather partial to Nova Prospekt and Negative Pressure.
Storm is the best track from Op4.
Does the steam version of Opposing force have music?
Escape array is one of my favourite atmospheric tracks in the game...

...and how could we forget Calabi-Yau model?

A lot of OpFor's music is very repetitive and droning I think, though that might've been intentional considering the HECU are just a bunch of grunts sent on a mission not even they are supposed to fully understand.

It uses Half-Life's music which in itself was butchered in the porting to Steam, but if you look around you can find a high quality MP3 pack with the original tracks. Alternatively, putting in the OpFor disc while playing on Steam will give you the real music, but that's pretty inefficient.

We have updated the public release of Half-Life 1. This update contains all the changes from the recent beta, thanks to the whole community for their help with testing and suggesting new features.
Changes in this update are:
Converted Half-Life to the new SteamPipe content system, for optimized delivery of the game
Added support for Mac OS X and Linux operating systems
Enabled Cloud support for save games
Improved OpenGL rendering pipeline and output to leverage the capabilities in todays GPU
Improved support for in-game chat in non-latin languages
A full list of changes can be found in the announcement thread.
Half Life music is my favorite music in any video game.
Very excited if Bailey will return or how Morasky will do the soundtrack for the next Half Life.

This is something just amazing.
Does anyone remember the name of that build server in HL2: DM? It even had a physgun, and a rather large community, though I am not sure if the server is still up. Does anyone else remember this?
