Looks real. Or a really well-crafted fake.
Contains info on the infamous blob-npc from previous ep3 game files, as well as new weapons, and something called a brain. Oh boy.

Nah, pretty sure they're legit but it seems they are pretty ancient (event without the dates)
Most of the stuff is probably not even relevant anymore.
We already knew of the weaponizer and blob NPC.
I've never heard of valveleakaware.com before... That being said there is a lot of information about the blob npc here. According to this they can merge with each other, spit at the player, use a tentacle attack, regenerate their 'particles' and bunch of other things.
It was only a matter of time before the ep3 train pulled back into town.

I think it was the .fgd from the source filmmaker, there's also still margarita.fgd in the bin folder, with largely the same stuff about margarita soldiers.

The leaks themselves are new, the information contained in them is not neccesarily new/relevant.
ValveLeakware is a startup forum by testinglol etc., they're pretty cool I guess since they atleast didn't go OMG EXCLUSIVE *watermarks everything* like ValveTime would have. :v:

That's the "no longer relevant" part, Stars of Blood has been cancelled and we probably won't ever be seeing it again.

I'm not sure it is. It still can be some sort of a testing sandbox for them. For some new ideas or engine features. Let's hope for the best.
And yeah, the registration isn't required anymore if you want to download. :wink:

I don't believe it entirely, concept artwork was actively being created between 2008-2012. That's a heck of a lot of time to just throw away.
Even if outdated it is still something, and an interesting something at that.
Keep in mind that "Blob" was probably a placeholder model before they started the other models
And all the weapons described were proposed to be included in Half Life 2, I believe
I'm going to turn out wrong, but it isn't inconceivable that it's just discarded HL2 content
So we have blobs, made out of particles that can have tentacles (possibly similar to the hydra), with some of the particles being brain particles.

The blobs can also split making new blobs and teleport where the player can't see.

The blob can also apparently try and match it's shape to something else, Such as NPCs or "shape_targets". It sounds like it can shapeshift.

Maybe we'll be fighting naked Advisors who are just blobs that can do a bunch of crazy physics shit?
Can also leap and spit.
The Leaping and Spitting seem to be for different blobs (obviously), as well as the spawner blob (which seems to be the one that can split or the one that shakes tiny blobs off itself).

And it seems the brain part of the blobs will be protected and you need to do something (presumably shoot) to expose them.

Blobs come in different sizes.
Tiny (probably from blob spawner-type blobs), small, medium, large.

I am just saying stuff that is stated in the FGD, but I just felt like it.
The blobs do sound awesome though.
I think the player was to freeze the blobs. Or at least that's one possibility, with the weaponizer icegun. Makes sense with a particle based enemy, too. There's something about the blob freezing/unfreezing, but it could just be for it to stop what it's doing, idk.
It's all speculative.
Prehaps blob/freezing/flamethrower are all codenames for something different.
Like valve has a decoder for all codes, so if there is a leak, it will just be old discarded content really.

I was thinking it could be a return of the Displacer Cannon, since there's Uranium ammo mentioned too.
EDIT: I'm betting it's Black Mesa style Uranium power ammo, since it's using the battery model as a placeholder.
