Gravity Rush, Shinobido 2, Touch my Katamari, Wipeout. Those are some games I'd recommend if you want to justify your Vita purchase.

Some people I know say that he's useful later on, while others say he's useless. Will Persona 4 pull another [sp]boss fight where I have to use Kanji regardless of who else I can choose ala Yukari during the Hierophant in Persona 3?[/sp]

The real soundtrack just came out in Japan a week ago, I don't think it's out in America yet.

Not really, but the school sponsored events are really funny (if you don't mind double standards) and the dungeons crawling and shit makes about 85~90 hours on one playthrough.
everything about persona is wacky
Persona is extremely wacky, especially during school events; yet the thing I like about it is that it takes itself very seriously and has genuine moments of emotion and drama, Persona 3 more so then 4 in that regard, but I still find myself liking 4 more.
Persona 4 was a lot darker than people give it credit for.
I felt like persona 3 was only superficially darker but they both had pretty deep moments.

I thought it was pretty entertaining, But i've never played the game so i can't compare them.

It wasn't that bad, though there was quite a few scenes with really terrible quality drops (and they barely even did anything to fix it on the Blurays). The anime itself is more catered towards people who have played the game anyway. I felt it was worth while to watch.
