A few first impressions. I haven't even gone into the Television yet. First off Golden looks fucking fantastic on the Vita. The pics I'm about to post taken with the Vita's screen shot function don't do it justice. The game's colors and characters just beam on the screen. The game almost immediately starts with some new additions, one in particular that I found very cool having played Persona 4 before. If you're eagle eyed, you might be able to spot one of the alterations from the PS2 addition in my screenshots posted. I'll be sure to have more to comment on when I get further into the game, but really, I fucking knew I was going to love this game before I got it, and anyone reading this probably knows it as well. That's a tough question, because I'm not really a graphics enthusiast; but I would say the game looks sharper then the images I've posted (and just posted now), and that it's definitely the most smooth looking game I've played on Vita compared to titles like Assassin's Creed Liberation and Golden Abyss, especially Liberation which looked like a jigsaw puzzle at times (If I notice it, it means it's REALLY bad). Also, I believe that P4G doesn't run at the Vita's native 960X544 resolution (Runs slightly under that), and I think that may also account for the poor image quality taken with the Photo App. Another thing that isn't captured in the screen is how bright and colorful this game looks on the OLED sscreen; everything looks so vibrant. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/H6PSw.jpg[/IMG] Costumes are a separate equipment slot, so if you weren't fond of the "fan service" costumes like the bikini armor or maid stuff from Persona 3 Portable, you aren't forced to equip it! [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/hc92w.jpg[/IMG] The New Shuffle Time is pretty neat. Instead of having to stop the rotating cards, you can now pick what cards you want. The mechanic that keeps it interesting though is that cards with negative effects like half exp/money which lets you pick more of the cards. If you manage to get all the cards during shuffle time, you get a guaranteed shuffle time after the next battle as well as other benefits. It's most useful to see if there's anything you can do that you didn't previously know was available. This feature is also available to see when fusing Personas, and will display the most popular Persona's fused from the ones available for you to fuse at that moment. I'm almost 100% sure the game does run at the native res. Screenshots end up looking awful partly because the vita's screenshot function is bad, and the other is that on the screen is smaller and has a higher pixel density so it looks much better on the vita.

Playing Persona 1 on the PSP (of all games!) and finally made it through the SEBEC building. I must say the first-person dungeons are actually far more enjoyable than the P2 method of just awkwardly walking around in third-person.

So I'm playing Persona 3 FES: The Journey and I'm [sp]fighting Nyx. Things so far, aside from all the rest of my party members dying quite a bit, are going alright. Using Siegfried with 99 STR, 85 END, 87 LUCK, and 81 AGI. Pretty good persona. Whomping Nyx quite a bit as he goes through the Arcanas, switching to Loki whenever he used one that was resistant to physical. So then I reach Death, and it goes pretty well. Then he starts using Night Queen. At first it wasn't so bad, since I had been resisting every ailment so far. Then I got feared, which was a minor setback, but I recovered and continued. Fast forward about 10 minutes, and Nyx is at about 400hp. The rest of my party is dead, but no worries I have full health. NIGHT QUEEN. YOU ARE ENRAGED. Hit him twice for a combined total of about 350 damage. ALMIGHTY ATTACK. 600dmg to me.[/sp] FUCK. EVERYTHING. I should mention I was level 80 when this happened.
