Persona 4: USE EVERYTHING AND HOPE TO GOD IT DOESN'T COME BACK TO YOU

"Riddle me this Funky Student. how'd you get so funky?"
And yeah, I'm finally finding the time to play P4G with the semester now over. Really enjoying it thus far.
Also, the SOS and other features are pretty interesting. Nice little additions to make use of the PSN,
How come nobody ever talks about Persona 1 and 2, were they terrible?
they aged so bad it's painful playing them. Extremely slow combat and probably one of the most annoying games for random battles. Combined with how slow the combat is just makes it drag on.
I bought Persona 1 and Persona 2 while they were on PSN sale.
I Still haven't gotten around to actually playing them for any considerable amount of time. There probably is a good game there if you're willing to play them, but they just seem too dated, even with the updates.
Naoto feels so much better to use in P4G than in the original. She can hit every weakness.
So, I'm doing notecards for Psych and the word "sleep spindles" pops up, and I found out that they cause sleep talking.
For my example, I wrote "Teddie could be heard across the hall yelling terrible bear puns in his sleep."

How do you actually get the bike skills? If that's where you're getting all the high-power elementals from, I mean.

Just found the greatest version of sexy pumpkin dance ever.

I don't think that song has ever fit quite so well.

Words cannot describe how perfect that was.

On certain days you'll find your teammates hanging out in front of the gas station. Hang out with them, and then ask them about the future(or past if you want them to re-use an old skill).

Youske isn't on the 2nd floor of the school anymore and I've still got 2 SL ranks to go with him. Where can I find him?

He might be at Junes.
He might be at Junes.
He's never there either. I've checked at different times of the day too.
Well the only thing I can think of is getting fortune slips for him.
Have you also checked in the classroom? sometimes he hangs out near those two girls.
I'm also thinking that maybe you advanced your Social Link with him too fast.
This is just guess work, but I know that some characters you can't advance with until a certain date (So that a certain event can occur in the story), but I think that was more limited to Persona 3 rather then Persona 4.

I thought that might be the case (Marie was never around until I rescued [sp]Rise[/sp]) but it's been ages since I last saw him around. I just rescued [sp]Nanako[/sp] and I still can't find him.
Trying to think of where else I've seen him, but it almost sounds like something fucked up with your game, which I'm doubting because it's the first I've heard of anything like that ever happening.
Aside from the second floor and Junes, the only place I've seen him is in your home room. If you're playing Golden, make sure to check what everyone else did that day and see if anyone hung out with him. Aside from that, just stay persistent and try to search for him everywhere.
I've found him now. He just suddenly started appearing on the 2nd floor and at Junes again.

Also, [sp]was I right to not throw Namatame into the TV? I told everyone to calm the fuck down, and that we were missing something. Was that the right thing to do?[/sp]

[sp]Hell fucking yes. You just avoided one way to get the bad ending[/sp]

Awesome. I'm gunning for the best ending, whatever it is. I know that Marie has a dungeon at some point. No idea if you have to max out her SL to do it, but I've already maxed it out anyway, so it's all good.
Sweeeeet. I asked my local Gamestop to see if they had any leftover P4G skins for the vita. And they had one more left
I've gotten to the point where I really do hope that the next game's Protagonist is not a silent one. It worked well for MC because his 'personality' seemed to give off that quiet kind-of-guy, but it didn't really work extremely well for Yu. It was even more annoying that there were quite a few scenes in P4 where another character had to pretty much repeat exactly what you would have just said to inform the player. Examples are usually Yosuke or Naoto.
And I also liked P4U's Yu.

Except he sounds too much like Adachi.

Yeah, but that's because Atlus USA cheaped out by using JYB for both Adachi and Yu since they probably didn't bother think that he might actually speak in the future.

I thought that the p4 protagonist fit as a quiet person, I only felt like he was a more talkative character after they gave him a name and had him talking in the anime and in Arena.
I hope Persona 5 sticks with a silent protagonist. I always feel more immersed in a game with a silent hero then a voiced one because it leaves more room open for interpretation for your character.
I wrote about this more in depth once, but when the character I'm controlling in-game acts like a dick or completely contrary to the way I'm playing the game, it breaks the illusion of what I'm playing.
I'd be fine with a silent protag if:
A) There are less scenes where >You explain what happened, only to have another party member then repeat exactly what you would have said.
B) Allow for more input during conversations, as opposed to just sitting there while the rest of the party figures out things. P4 sometimes makes me feel like I'm only really there to lead in battle and that's about it.
I might just be remembering wrong, but I felt that P3 did that a whole lot better in at least one or both regards.

Except that [sp]in order to avoid the bad ending or even past that, to get the true ending, you have to actively do certain things and have it figured out on your own (assuming you weren't spoiled).[/sp]
