Oh my god it's even better in English.
Oh man volume 2 was great. Get the feeling the true end episode would be really hard to follow without having played the game, though.
Yay, Collection 2 of the Anime just arrived. Shittiest camera quality ever! I have no new Persona 4 stuff to look forward to now. Still have to get the PS2 copy of the game though.
Really wish zen united would stop being fucking bads and just release eu p4a already, who gives a shit about non english translations, people learn it in school.

I've been playing P4 for PS2 for 2 weeks now. I'm hooked on this shit but holy shit it pissed me off when I got to 5F of Yukiko's castle and died and had to redo it

Ungh, the actually battle at the end of the dungeon sucked, I was pretty ill prepared. [sp]FIRE FOR EVERYONE. What's that? Chie's down? FIRE FOR EVERYONE AGAIN. Dead Chie.[/sp]

I only got my party wiped out once when I hit triangle instead of X to guard and one of those red tank things crit with an AoE medium damage fire attack afterwards. Of course the only person not guarding was Yu and my persona was weak to fire T_T
So guys, I managed to win against [sp]Retro-Age Hippie Jesus aka Kunino-sagiri[/sp] on level 57. And wow, I managed to use the technique the Megami Tensei Wiki described w/o knowing first. [sp] Spam magic mirrors / Makarakarn[/sp] Tip: Someone that null/repel physical is also recommended, [sp]especially in the part when he controls your 3 characters, he uses physical attacks[/sp] ... and I only tried like 15 times. Now to the normal end. [editline]17th January 2013[/editline]
grind grind grind, yukiko's castle taught me that the hard way too
Floors on Golden are completely randomly, different than the original, where it was random-static (random in the day you entered the dungeon, static as long you stayed there). Dungeon grind on Golden should work like this: go to the last floor, use a Goho-M, save the game, go to back the last floor of the dungeon, go to a previous floor, grind, go to the last floor and return the previous. Like this: Floor 9 -> Floor 8 -> Defeat all shadows -> Floor 9 -> Floor 8 -> Defeat all shadows -> Floor 9 -> Floor 8... etc.
Hey guys. After finishing P4G I plan on getting P3P for my vita. I heard it's quite a downgrade though. Is it worth the 15 dollars?

I mean it's a downgrade in the sense that the PSP couldn't handle the 3D segments outside of Tartarus and other battles, but you've got the female protagonist with a handful of differing social links and dialogue, as well the ability to control your teammates, which you couldn't do in FES or the original P3.
Yeah, Persona 3 Portable is a mixed bag, but generally it's considered the best version of Persona 3, faults and all.
Yeah, Persona 3 Portable is a mixed bag, but generally it's considered the best version of Persona 3, faults and all.
I mean yes it is disappointing to not get The Answer, and it is disappointing to do everything in a VN-esque dialogue box all the time, but having played P3FES after P3P, I don't think it's so bad.
Is there any other way to buy P3P for the Vita besides the PSN. It's still $50 in Australia which is quite steep considering P4G goes for ~$43+ in local pricing. I knew I should have grabbed it for $20 when it was on sale not that long ago. :suicide:

I did the former, but have yet to purchase the game... I got really lazy after making the account.
It's kinda hard to have a non-digital PSP game on a Vita without the UMD drive and all. And naturally the only source of digital games on the Vita is the PSN store.
Can you not load backup ISOs and CSOs of games you already own? As I understood it that was okay on the PSP.
I'm not sure if you can. I don't see an option for it from the content manager.
Can you not load backup ISOs and CSOs of games you already own? As I understood it that was okay on the PSP.
Only content that can be transferred from the PC/PS3 to a Vita system is strictly the content that you have associated with your PSN account. Since Sony forces you to go through the content manager you can't manually transfer ISO backups or anything else really. Hence if you had P3P on UMD but had an ISO backup then you're still shit outta luck, you'd have to buy it again from the PSN since Sony doesn't run the UMD-to-Digital promotion here.
no problems in void quest enemy megido kills my whole party There goes all my progress and fusions since the last save, guess I'm done playing for today.
I just finished Void Quest myself, but I don't consider myself sadomasochistic enough to play on anything above Easy. I've had enough challenge as is.
I just finished Void Quest myself, but I don't consider myself sadomasochistic enough to play on anything above Easy. Refused stuff, ran from the one battle I saw that enemy in, and made it to floor 6 before stopping. Managed to fuse a level 43 Parvati and a Black Frost too, and both look like they have good stats and abilities, so it all worked out.

I don't exactly play for the challenge, not when some battles (alternate boss in Yukiko's Castle, anyone) are hard enough on easy as it is.

I just put that off until after I beat Rise's dungeon, and he wasn't any harder than a normal Shadow at that point.

Even when I'm like 7 levels behind a boss I don't have too much of a problem, but a single fuckup has screwed me over on a few occasions. I don't want to grind in this game. Grinding is for MMOs. I want to sit down and plug away at a new dungeon or social links or whatever the fuck else for a few hours.

I mean don't get me wrong, it's miles better than early MegaTen games. Try playing Persona 1, where you spend hour after hour running through samey-looking corridors. The story and music are still good, but god if it isn't tedious.
Yeah, I'd agree. I mean, with a large portion of the game not being combat whatsoever, I just don't see the appeal in a higher difficulty. I should rephrase that - I can understand that people want a challenge, but for me, this isn't the type of game where a challenge is entertaining. It already sucks enough to have to restart a floor in Easy mode, I can't imagine how frustrated I'd be on Hard.
Maxing out the Hermit Social Link makes finishing a dungeon in a single day and grinding so much easier. I love not having to worry about spending more than five to ten minutes spamming guard and recovering SP with a Persona with invigorate or having teammates SP recover with a Mage's Mark accesory when I can just spend money that I can more than make up for with a battle or two. Maybe I'm just insane and a little too obsessed with this game, but I haven't really had a hard time on normal difficulty reaching the top floor of a dungeon in a single day and subsequently taking out its boss. At most, I probably spent a few days in Yukiko's dungeon when I was still learning the ins and outs of the game. The last time I was completely wiped was in Kanji's dungeon after an enemy had the jump on me when I had low health and no SP.
As a general SMT fan, these posts sicken me.
As I said, I'm well aware other MegaTen games are more difficult by rather large degrees, but even having played some of those I prefer a more relaxed play.
