How does P3 play compared to P4G? I was thinking of picking up ye olde PSP version.
That fucking credits music, man, makes me cry. Also, in P4, the music for [sp]Heaven[/sp] Is so eerily calming.

P3 and P4 are pretty similar in gameplay I think. P4G is a straight up upgrade to P4 in regards to adding lots of new content, new social links, new combat and Shuffle Time mechanics and much more.
I've never played P3, but I hear they trimmed the fat with the PSP version, for better or worse.

The song is called Never More if you ever wish to cry your eyes out again.
The thing that Golden will spoil you with the most? Being able to choose inherited skills in fusions.
I swear, I spent like 40 fucking minutes re-making fusions until I had all the skills I wanted inherited...
I was trying to fuse Leanan Sidhe with Megidola and Invigorate 2 and some other stuff, and I swear I spent like 20 minutes rerolling the inherited skills trying to get what I wanted.
Did you guys fight the contrarian king in P4 in yukikos castle? that was a frustrating as fuck boss fight because the rampage attack wipes out your entire squad unless you had slime with resist physical(I didn't) or were lucky enough to pick guard at the right time.
When did you fight him? It seemed really easy, but I had already gone through Rise's dungeon so I was pretty far ahead in levels.
The person who decided that an unlockable Dojima skin for Yu was a genius, especially since it changes the end of fight taunt.

But man, she can end up getting crazy crit chains and her Follow Attack is an instant kill. That and she's such a cutie.
Don't forget her being the cheeriest/most hyped character in any Persona game. Even Teddie has more bummer moments and he gets psyched about cross-dressing.
I challenge you to find a sprite of her in P4U where she's not just having a hell of a time beating up her friends.
Is it odd that, aside from boss fights, I can play Nocturne in a relaxed manner despite it being one of the more unforgiving SMT titles? I mean, sure, up until [sp]Matador[/sp] I had some issues. Namely on [sp]Matador[/sp] himself, but still. The only other fight I have had issues on was the first fight with [sp]Dante[/sp] because I didn't have a teammate with defense up skills to help lower damage from [sp]Bullet Time[/sp]. I spoiler these things because I don't want to give away bosses/strategies for them.

Personally? I actually preferred FES to P3P. I must be the weird one who likes having to work to get my teammates to not be stupid. Be it Junpei using HP attacks at low health or Mitsuru using Marin Karin every time it's her turn. ESPECIALLY Mitsuru using Marin Karin every time it's her turn. My god. I felt like the more I played, the less stupid they got. Mostly because it got rid of said skills from their skill list as they leveled. On top of this, it made me have to actively try to be stronger than everyone else in my party as I could not steadily rely upon them until around the end of the game.
Either way, P3 is a great game regardless of the system.

I can't read all his posts in Yuri Lowenthal's voice anymore.
I can't read all his posts in Yuri Lowenthal's voice anymore.
Don't you mean Johnny Yong Bosch? Yuri Lowenthal was Yosuke's VA, not Johnny.
Megafan absolutely needs to be as well-mannered as possible in his posts so I can read his posts exactly like Naoto speaks.
Also the Cultural Festival had me bust a gut once [sp]Teddie legitimately looked like a woman.[/sp]
Man I love this game.
I bet you anything Chie is still having fun [sp]When controlled by the Messiah in Heaven[/sp], also the reveal that the killer is [sp]Adachi gets me every time, makes you feel worthless. All of your work feels like it has been rendered useless as he's been fucking with you the entire game. He knows what you've been doing, and it actually make him laugh.[/sp]
Also, what's a good way to defeat Envious Giant?

Got me because of the way it played out.
[sp]"We figured it out, you're the killer!"
"No I'm not."
"Yeah you are, here's the proof!"
"NO I'M NOT I'M OUT OF HERE LATER FUCKERS"[/sp]

A simple conclusion, admittedly. But I'm afraid there's much more to it than that.
I occasionally listen to Kimi no Kioku and the lyrics remind me of P3 ending which makes me extremely sad.
Now that i remember i finished p3 then started playing the answer but skiped to p4, i should really finish playing the answer.
But i'm afraid gonna make me sad like the p3 one did.
Did sad endings burn your house down and kill your dog? Just play it.
Ever since they made Shuffle time able to increase stats like crazy, certain Personas last WAY longer than they otherwise should. Black Frost + Victory cry makes a persona that still 1 shots enemies like crazy, 20 levels after I summoned him.
I've never touched an SMT game before and I just bought Persona 3 FES. No idea what I'm getting myself into.
I'd rather have bought Persona 4, but I don't have a PS2 or a Vita, and I doubt Sony will put it up as a PS2 Classic soon since they want people buying P4G. Still, I'm excited.

I'm guessing you bought it on PSN. In that case, watch out for a fatal bug: sometimes saves will delete themselves. I'm not sure if they fixed it, but I heard that happen to some people who played it on the PS3
Yeah, I bought it off of PSN. Guess I'll be backing up my saves like a motherfucker.
Did they just recently finally fix that? Along with the flickering texture?
Yeah, I bought it off of PSN. Guess I'll be backing up my saves like a motherfucker.
I know you can import and export save data for certain PS2 games, but how do you backup saves for PS2 classics bought off the PSN store?

Save in multiple slots
I was just assuming you could do it in the same way as backing up PS3 games. I don't own any PS2 Classics so I've never tried it.

That works, too.
yeah I'm pretty sure you can backup literally everything on the memory card via content manager
Hey guys

HEE HEE HOO! Ingame Music Player has playable Burn My Dread
Game value +200%
What game are you referring to, exactly?
He is talking about P4G and the TV Listing section of the main menu. The thing that has all those neat extra stuff like Cutscenes, concept art, and Teddie's Quiz show. Hee Hee Hoo! is what the music section is called.

Wait, are you telling me that you can pick what music is playing at any time?
