It's a shame this isn't a general Shin Megami Tensei thread. It sucks that they couldn't get Dave Wittenberg back as Teddie, Sam Riegel's impersonation isn't nearly as charming.)

However, in P4G, they added the ability to raise the stats and skill cards so it could be actually possible to have a really good Izanagi. Also, P4A stuff. Less then a week for Arena. Think it's about time to start playing all my Persona games (And Catherine) before Golden arrives. I've never played the first two and I have them waiting on my Vita, they just seem so much different, I hope I like them.

God this game is so much fun. I got P3 FES two days ago and I've already clocked 12+ hours (more if it wasn't for work).

got through an hour of play time then died because i keep getting knocked down by bufu skills. this game is depressing. but i seem to enjoy the fuck out of it.

Is 1 and 2 worth playing? or should i just jump to 3? (all PSP versions btw)

Also, they really have no connection to the newest ones save a few hints. So, really it would be more of would you enjoy its gameplay and want to get the story that it has. Gameplay in P1 and P2 isn't exactly great, however some argue the story is quite good. If anything, I would maybe suggest looking at some gameplay of the first two, then going from there. If you do skip them you aren't really going to be clueless. edit again, apparently i am just blind.

Arena is out but Gameslop won't let me pick it up until they open, so close yet so far.

Waiting for UPS to deliver Arena. Going to be awesome. It got good reviews on both IGN and Gametrailers.

Ugh.[/QUOTE] I've been playing story mode for 7 hours and I'm only through a third of the characters. If you like Persona 4 get Arena. The story hits the same big 3 or 4 points for every character so far, but the conversations are pretty great. Also you can just run up to people and hit square to auto-combo and destroy any AI/bad player.

Man, the fake Persona 5 soundtrack is great. Especially with the theme of a sort of noir set in a Shibuya like setting.

Bought my copy earlier today, first fighting game for me I guess. Might end up playing Chie or Aigis. Also so many things I want to rip from the files but cant. I got P4 Arena just this afternoon. Kanji is a beast and I don't think I quite figured Aigis out but hell I want to. It's a bit of a shame that there's so little to every character compared to normal fighters, but I guess it just cuts strait to the strategy and mind games rather than making you fool around with learning "fully optimized combos" and "Bullshit juggles that take fuckin 30 seconds just to finish". I just wish Yukari or Junpei made it in. Maybe DLC. Maybe add some villains like [sp]Adachi[/sp] and Takaya. Screw cannon, I just want more people. Also score attack mode is fuckin hard. Holy shit. It'll be ages before I unlock Fuuka. And I really want to unlock Fuuka...
