I wish with the random events you had more control; like when you have the option to board a space station/ship to help people or what not, I want to be able to control the people I sent over.
If Postman doesn't want to be a part of this discussion anymore then it's up to him but you guys should stop threadshitting, it won't help to prove anyone's point.

That would be very nice indeed but it would've also required much more time to implement for developers.
I kind of like the current event system, it reminds me of Space Rangers and text adventures, in a good way.
you guys are not fun

I agree.
But then again, I like the fact I have no control over it too, because it brings a risk.
If I could play the event myself I could eventually learn the best way to handle each one and never have to risk anything.
I really wish the game had saves between jumps.

Maybe as a separate option, or a part of the Easy Mode but not in a standard game, it would lose all of it's danger and risk then.
I wish you got slightly more scrap in normal mode - you get easily outgunned by the third/fourth sectors because you can't upgrade fast enough.

You can get plenty scrap before then. You just need to explore as much as you can, instead of flying towards the exit.

But then the rebels.
Just picked this game up today and god it's good.
Only had one run in it so far and nearly killed the rebel mothership, it only had one health left.
RIP the crew of "The Queen Latifa", you will be sorely missed.
I got caught in a dead-end of a system and had to fight 6 rebel ships to reach the exit. Can't believe i survived it. I made it out with 1 hull point. Died shortly afterwards :(

One health of the final form or the first?

holy shit this generator
i bet that mantis will keep falling off the ship fucking constantly
One health of the final form or the first?
Whoa, whoa, wait. That ship has "forms"?!
Okay, I guess there's still a bit I need to learn about that last part. I presume it was the first form then.
You really do not get enough scrap!
Hello, ship that can instakill any system on my ship with your ridiculously powerful rocket launcher.
I also like how when ever you desperately need a missile to hit, it always misses. That has got to be intentional.

Yeah, I felt the same way, haha.
There are three forms I believe.
I've only been able to make it to the third form.
When you destroy it the first time, a piece rips off, the same with the second time.
I'll have a look at my economy in the following days, as this might be something worth picking up that actually runs on my platform.
This game needs some serious balancing. It loses it's appeal when you have to restart so much.
this game looks really interesting, does it bear many similarities to other roguelikes? (before i buy it)
I picked this game and To The Moon up on a whim.
Both games make me feel incredibly inadequate and depressed :v:
do shield recharge boosters stack?
Why don't solar flares and heating events affect NPC ships?
They do, it's just random which ship will get struck by the flare. Once both ships went ablaze.
How do you set your ships to auto-fire?
There is a big shiny "Autofire" button under your weapons.
How do you set your ships to auto-fire?
Click Autofire below your weapons.
lol fuck this game sometimes
Went through 2 systems so far, doing great and getting tons of upgrades, weapons and drones.
Enter civilian system, suddenly 6 mantis teleport in and slaughter fucking everything.
are you serious
Yeah for some reason I get fucked over in the civilian sectors MUCH more often than in enemy sectors. :suicide:
I know this is off topic and you guys have probably gotten past so give me any dumbs you want it but when I get unbanned I'll stop rating you dumb and rerate friendly
I seriously cannot get any other ships. The only 2 I've managed to get so far are the starter ship and that engi ship.
I keep getting annihilated in every possible way before being able to unlock another.
This game is getting more frustrating and less fun for me now.
And I'm on easy which is even worse.
