Anybody know what the Hell Blood of Armok is in Masterwork?

It's a gem that lets you create magma flasks in the alchemist's shop. If you already have magma access it's not that useful since you can just get magma flasks from any magma building but if you don't then it's pretty great.
Try reading the manual, it explains many of the new additions to the game. You don't even have to read the whole thing, just use it like you would the regular wiki.
I think you mean a year of game-time, or else you might just be dorfy as fuck.
[sp]I might just be an idiot, but I've always assumed playtime to be the time played in real time :v:[/sp]
A fort that has a real life year's worth of playtime in it... that would be crazy. You'd actually have lots of dwarves dying of old age and children becoming peasants.
It'd also be running at 2 FPS.
I've just had my first vampire related death, and I think I've identified the vampire, a Farmer with no bedroom and migrated here alone without any relatives. Is it safe to assume that if I assign him to a burrow, it will keep him out of the bedrooms? Or would I have to physically lock him out of the bedrooms?
Also: Is it worth it to repeatedly dig/deconstruct non-masterful engraved walls and rebuild and engrave until They're all masterful? Am I right assuming the engraver shouldn't get negative thoughts for as long as I don't destroy the master-works?
if they are all active at once
the fortress starves to death
this is the price of having 3/4s of the populace militarised
North Korea: dwarven edition.

Dorf Korea
Got my first issue with Crow Fortress, all my giant crows are getting hungry. I'm guessing this is because I put HUNTS_VERMIN in without another token such as BONECARN so it doesn't track if they eat. Reckon adding it in now after embark will take effect or won't those specific creatures be updated?

Welp, Second Vampire death, confirming my previous suspicions, Urist McTrader decided to take a nap in one of the corridors that Urist McVampire was allowed in and was promptly drained of blood.
I've now locked Urist Mcvampire in the Lever Room, never again to see the light of day.
If you edit the raws in the world's folder, it'll change just that world. Also, I think they're getting hungry because you didn't put any eating tag in their raw. If you put in the normal carnivore tag, they shouldn't get hungry.
okey so my militia captain is like 90 years old and a lady dwarf. she is currently attempting to wrestle a forgotten beast made of steel. anyone wanna place some bets?

Both will die

Make a pit with spears that you can use to drain blood into his quarters, If i ever find a vampire i'm doing that.

I just use my vampires to infect a special separate water supply for the training of my eventual circus visit. I find that an entire segregated boot camp for my vampire initiates makes for a great circus visit.
I also send them the occasional Urist McLegendarycheesemaker or give them a special visit from Urist McKillsmylegendarysmithbecausehedidn'tmakeleadsocksengravedwithkittensandelves.

I'm currently experimenting with weapon traps to make a swimming danger room and possibly, if he starts bleeding, making a vampire blood fortress.
The single best use for vampires is [sp]getting an upright ☼Candy Sword☼ from the undead guarding it.[/sp]
Any vampire returning with it has earned the occasional novice lye maker to feed on.

Isn't that playing to his advantage?

90 isn't even middle-aged.

Yeah, seems that way. Oh well, it was a good embark with no evil fog or rain and I hit iron ore and coal on the way down. If all my crows are going to die though, there's not much point.
The food mechanics are odd though, pigs don't seem to have any tags related to eating and they survive just fine. The carnivore tag or just brute-forcing the no_eat tag should work. I'm still keen to have them though because when they wanted to sleep, they all jumped onto a temporary wall I had built and nested there. If I can work out how to organise that, it'll be great.
Sleep? Livestock don't sleep. These must be considered caste-members of your civilization, not animals.
Yeah, I put can_learn and can_speak in also because I was curious about what it would do, seems to have changed more than I thought it would. They acted more like gremlins than normal animals.
That in mind, gremlins scrounge their own food since they have the bonecarn tag, right? A few Crows were getting thirsty too, does bonecarn cover that also?
I don't know, I don't play with the raws much. You can always edit the world's raws to find out what it changes. It'll update immediately anything that can be changed.
Well I've only had a few gremlins and most were killed by various wild beasts. If anyone who has experience with them can tell me whether they find their own food and drink or not, it would save a bit of time.
my friend told me what people meant by "candy weapons"
I was disappointed, I was hoping you could actually use candy as a building material
my hopes of candy land are crushed

Well, you could always mod it in.

A stone-like material created from sweet pod sugar and/or syrup.
Someone needs to make candies as edible trading goods which give a small positive (or negative) thought when they're eaten.
Urist Mcsweet-tooth has been unhappy lately. He slept on the cave floor recently. He admired a tastefully arranged statue recently. He accidentally ate a plump-helmet flavoured chocolate recently and can't wash away the after-taste.

I'd place the candy-smith workstation right between the butcher and the metalsmith.
