• MW2's Case Broke the Game

dude all real men just leave the discs everywhere sittin upside down and just blow the dust off when we wanna play them
I got iron man on DVD for christmas and nearly snapped it in half trying to take it out of it's container turns out you have to press on the center with about two pounds of force to get it out of the holder. I DARE you do exert two pounds of force with a finger.
I will shit bricks if they start releasing PS3 games in those cases. Blu-ray disks are flimsy as hell normally, if those things are snapping DVDs, then Blu-ray disks are pretty much dead on production.
Aren't Blu-rays given protection against damage. Either way. There are Eco Blu-ray cases, was a photo of one on Kotaku a while back.
What are these new eco cases anyway? The Xbox 360 copy in my house doesn't have that case!
Well, that's what you get for caring more about a pointless game then the environment!
Buy a pack of jewel cases, they work wonders.
Why did you even buy MW2?
talk about :bandwagon:
Why did you even buy MW2?
Why does it matter? Jesus, you bandwagoneers are idiots.
Happened to me with Saint's Row 2. The cracks are actually going into the reflective CD part now, I'm surprised it still works. Also, my friend's Halo 3 disk was decimated because of these fucking stupid cases.
This happened to me too, I had to delete most of my DLC's just to play this game. I'm just going to get another copy.
Do you know what would be good to combat this? Internet Petition!!!

The exact same thing happened to me! I was so pissed.

Happened to my fallout 3 disk about a year ago, but it wasn't even an "eco case" either. If you can't get a replacement, install it to your 360's hard drive. I was able to play my fallout 3 again after that.
What the fuck is an eco-case?
Maybe try something like this? Saves the inner ring the trouble. Might not be as attractive, but is safer for the disks (or at least more safe than that case)
Well, actually got a bunch of jewel cases to put my 360 games in that have eco cases. If they don't let me exchange MW2 for another copy at Gamestop I will not be buying another. And I have almost exactly the same case as above for my old Playstation games.

[editline]07:47PM[/editline] I have one and to me it's a lot easier than shifting through the cases when you want to switch a game. Edit:How is this bad spelling?
I pretty sure you broke it yourself by yanking it out instead of pushing the middle button...
Yeah these new cases suck ass, there's no support behind the disk so all the weight and pressures of putting it in the case or taking it out are all on the disc itself... you can't press that stupid thing down to release the disc and you can't press the disc against the entire surface evenly, so all the pressure goes to the center of it It's damaging discs like mad
I pretty sure you broke it yourself by yanking it out instead of pushing the middle button...
Are you implying that these cases actually work correctly? Sounds like someone doesn't have an idea what they're talking about
I pretty sure you broke it yourself by yanking it out instead of pushing the middle button...
Agree'd Also pushing the middle thing down when you put it back in works pretty well To be fair, I have encountered a few of those impossible to open ones
So the eco cases are supposed to help the environment? Just looks like the manufacturers of the case made it to cut costs.
So the eco cases are supposed to help the environment? Just looks like the manufacturers of the case made it to cut costs.
They still have to make the case like normal and they just punch out the triangles. I guess they probably just melt them down and add them back in with the rest of the melted plastic. I figure the extra energy they use to do all that extra stuff outweighs the plastic saved in the cases.
Are you implying that these cases actually work correctly? Sounds like someone doesn't have an idea what they're talking about
I dunno, I have 4 of these "eco-cases" and not a single disc of mine has busted, I also think it's due to mishandling.
That happened to me with a DVD once. I really hate cases that are designed so badly that they break the DVDs. I remember back when(I think it was Halo 2) Halo 2 came out, the limited edition case had two discs one on top of the other. I quickly took out the special features disc and put it in a separate case because I had heard of people's games being ruined because of the discs scratching each other.
Where are you guys living? I didn't get such a "eco-case" over here in Germany with my MW2. Also, there's probably nothing to do but buy a new copy / they'll probably just think you broke the disk and looked for some excuse.
You also don't have blood, or nazis.
You also don't have blood, or nazis.
Not funny.
