Also, ship EOT's are fixed now for the most part. If they dont work for your ship still, you must have a really bad ship.
It seems that the ships will always keep 1 block distance from anything, so this means that there is no worries with pulling someone's dock away, so completely disregard that note in the OP.

There's nothing wrong with chestshops. These things are so fucking much easier to use.
Plus you don't have to worry about the items disappearing into thin air whenever you remove the shop.
