No. If you're having that problem, you should probably reconsider who you trust to be mod in your faction.

What do you mean? If a faction lets their power get so low that their land can be claimed, that's their fault. As long as their land is claimed, people can't damage it unless they are online, but if they're sitting at 20 power and they have 40 chunks of land claimed, tough shit.

I'd love to host a server like this, knowing that goose wants to keep the game mostly vanilla.

It'd be in about a week from now when I'll have enough money, and I don't really want to take away from Gooses as a without-limits faction server so I'll be working on ways to make it different.
I'll also try not to keep all these posts about it in this thread so once I can confirm I can do it and get blessings from Weirdness, I'll make a thread. In the meantime, just rate either of these posts accordingly if you're interested in it.
Also we won't have a repeat of Pirate Generation (god that was awful), I'll keep the admin-abusable plugins to a minimum and in general it should be fun I guess maybe.
