anyway I've been meaning to get back to this server, but every single time I've tried to come on, nobody else is there. Is there a predesignated time in which everyone plays, or is the server actually just that dead?
I remember logging in one day and the whole place was a tnt graveyard.

Yeah, goose himself told me that the server will become just for him and some friends soon. Nobody's playing anymore to warrant the slotsize, and goose is losing interest in minecraft in general.

And because turtley got mad at me, I'll keep it mostly vanilla, but if there's any good plugins by the time the api is out, I'll see what can be changed to make PVP more interesting / less shit.

That's actually why I got mad at him. There were talks of Pigmen NPC villages that would give you quests to destroy a NPC bandit camp and claim your reward as XP points that you can use to buy stuff in a NPC trading post - and classes like "bowman" and "mage".
That just didn't sound like PVP factions at all to me, so I proceeded to strangle him with a pipe.

I was just being dramatic with the classes, but I remember you saying something about trading posts or something like that.
Never said anything about trading posts, it was more of an alternative to getting enchanted weapons, albeit weak ones (level 1 sharpness and shit) with the rare chance of getting a decent enchantment.
Pretty much just give you something to do while you're waiting for people to come online or something, rather than just lolmine.

I think a server that took advantage of all the NBT editing advantages coming in the next update (and what's currently in the game) would be best.
Jogging you should do that "air is toxic" idea. I thought that was pretty cool. I've been considering it for the server but I just don't have time in between work, the TV station, and the girlfriend.
