[QUOTE=RIPBILLYMAYS;36569872]I was shelling the stand on Temple Ruins and I had four people chasing me. I ran towards the flagstand to just demolish everything before I die and I went flying away from an explosion. I turned around and blindly threw a disk and got a blue plate special :v:[/QUOTE]
You are almost everything i hate about the jugg.
If you had the lmg then I would despise you.
I've been doing really well lately playing vanilla inf
it's really fun and good for causing havok when those sandrakers start turtling
Should spinfusors have a fall off range? It's really annoying when a heavy sits way off on a hill and can easily destroy all my defenses without any effort of having to aim, because they shots fly perfectly straight.
falloff as in damage? falloff as in an arc? falloff as in a distance in which the disc just explodes because its reached max distance? if you mean the latter, then it does have a max distance in which is explodes in the air.

there should be a field generator that puts a projectile shield around the base, people can move though it but projectiles fired from a certain range don't go through
Jackal as Infiltrator is hilarious on Crossfire and in generator rooms; you just fire all three stickies onto one guy, walk away and cloak, then follow him around and wait til he nears another enemy player and detonate them. Then there's how people start back peddling from him :v:
Picked up playing technician, I have to say I love it, but I wish there were different turret types, or I could upgrade them like base turrets. Does the game at all describe any of the accolades? I get them, but I don't necessarily know why I get them.

I like this idea alot, it should be generator powered so gives the teams more sense to defend for shelling and long range spinfusor.

most if not all accolades are straight forward in that the title describes what you're getting it for.

It's just part of the game. Moreover, if your team's techs are at all competent, defenses should be repaired relatively quickly.
Ahahaha oh wow. The last two games I had were fucking hilarious.
On Temple Ruins their defence was akin to an iron wall. I capped the flag twice by doing the following.
1. I flew over the broken pillar and made the most hairpin grab ever. The HoF was on it and I just went zooming by him at 200+sanics.
2. After that they got like 3 HoFs since it was 4-1. I was gonna do a front to front route but as I was coming down I saw there was a force field on the ramp. No one was looking, so I stopped right at the flag, grabbed it, turned around and capped it. Holy fuck that was the most gratifying llama ever.
And then on Sunstar. There were ~5 chasers/medium defence on the flag, and I couldn't get past them. Died at flag as a PTH, I was easily chased as a BRT, so I pulled a fuck you move: I went raider with Jammer+Whiteouts. No one saw me coming as I spammed my 2 whiteouts on the flagstand and took off without a hitch at a nice 150 sanics. It feels SO GOOD to have juked the team that killed you 4 times in a row (along with everyone else) and leave them in the dust.
So is Tribes:next any good?
[QUOTE=noneshallpass;36572077]So is Tribes:next any good?[/QUOTE] Answer: fuck yes it is.
tribes: universe is great
This is such a fun game. I downloaded it last night and got addicted. I stayed up way too late and had to skip going to the gym this morning. haha.
The skiing is fun. I actually feel like I can be a genuine help to my team when I can go for the flag and I feel like I'm in a sci-fi movie or like I'm Iron Man when I'm flying around blasting people with stuff.
The most fun part for me so far was playing as juggernaut and firing my mortar from a mountain at the enemy base. I got so many kills.
I'd like to see Children of the Phoenix and Starwolf to make a return, maybe acknowledge a little of the back lore. Besides, 4 team Tribes mayhem? How can that not be wanted?
i think they should focus on fixing the game before adding in large new content like 4 team combat.
would be nice get the other 2 tribes,i love this game visuals
I am so fucking sick of all these new players I swear to god
Every game I get dumped with a whole bunch of level 4-11 players even though I'm level 22.
Fuck, not playing Tribes for a few days so this'll blow over.
That's about 30-40 kilobytes per second, that sounds pretty bad, but you gotta figure the original tribes players were on dial-up, high speed connections weren't quite there yet.
That's still fairly slow, no offense. I usually get around 4-5 hundred kBs through steam, I can't go back now. My father has told my many tales of laggy dial up CS. Shooting around corners before you get there.
All these new people. Oh lord. Been called a hacker a record number of times in the past couple days. Once on Tartersause I was driving a Beowolf around the flag stand 'cause being HoF on that map is a pain in the ass and I saw an infiltrator cloak and go around the backside of a hill. Waited a good 4 seconds assuming he was walking a straight line, lead him with a tank shell and blasted him good. This was of course fallowed by "Nice hack" and "So you can just shoot invisible people, huh?".
The Sportsmanlike [VGCS] is becoming a lost art. Use the 3 second respawn to respect your assailant.
I hate team games in which you never ever get a team that works together, yet the enemy team is always 100% coordinated and never caught off guard.

this is why they have pugs daily on the reddit tribes mumble.
Heh I got a tech trying to shoot me through a windows in drydock.
I just [VGH] and left him :v:
I love to mess around with the voice command system :v:
Usually when the enemy says [VGTA], I respond with [VGY], [VGS].
Also, I often greet my opponent with [VGCS] when it is the case, but they rarely thank me.

Do you have to be a good player to join those? I could do with playing within some teamwork, both as it's more fun and to improve. Downside being I'm a mediocre player.

nope, you'll probably be last pick because you'll be new, but honestly nobody cares if you're bad or the best, as long as you're willing to listen and learn nobody should get mad at you (except for maybe shrimmm. watch out for him)
