Should I buy the tribes 2 Iceman voice pack? It sounds chill I kinda like it.

I don't understand what is wrong with the optimization. I get a reasonable framerate, better than any I've seen in most recent games I've played, and I play on a laptop!

Considering I am playing on a laptop, I am used to playing at 30 fps, but this game seems to be giving me around 35-40 which may not sound impressive, but any recent unreal engine game I've played haven't been able to give me such a number for long.

What should I get for my first weapon/perk unlock. I got about 50000(I think). Should I get something or just save up? [editline]25th September 2012[/editline] Also would you consider the thumper to be a very cheap weapon? I'm not really good at this game so I usually get the most kills as a soldier, second most as brute, and third as raider. And I can't exactly cap for shit.

And I can't exactly cap for shit.[/QUOTE] If you get a lot of kills with the brute's spinfusor why not to go for the soldier one. 910direct damage and around 600 nearby. I played most as spinfusor soldier so I'm a bit sucky with autos, but if you like them better get the gast's rifle, which is way cheaper.

I never understood why anyone would ever want to get any other secondary for the Tech. Compared to the improved repair tool everything else pretty much sucks for the class role. Unless you want to go offensive but I don't see why unless you want to use the tool on the generator, but there are so many better classes to destroy the generator.

I've heard the shotgun is good, but you'll look like an idiot if you place a turret in the enemy base, so it doesn't seem to be a viable build for a tech.

I can use a thumpnician with shogun secondary and do light defence pretty good, topping the scoreboard more often than not. ofc can't do repairs without switching loadout first. It feels like a bolt pathfinder with more life and that deploys turrets.

For 5 seconds until it's all over the floor and the enemy techs have to sweep up the mess.
