Did they change how the meters skied stat is recorded? I can only get a max of 2km skied now as pathfinder while doing routes and in beta I got 200km skied easy while playing ranger.

It mustve been in the beta.
if im skiing at 200 sanics I would have to keep that speed for an hour to get 200km skied.
and matches last 15 minutes.
that's the problem.
If I install it from the HiRez website, it then says to install it from Steam.
Might try to get back into playing this.

Im slooowly creeping my way up to the great amassment of 88000XP credits.
There are many weapons I really want to get, mainly the Jackal, Stealth Spinfusor, Tech Thumper, and Spinfusor + Sparefusor for Soldier. I play Infiltrator a lot and increasingly playing Technician when the situation really calls for it. I hardly play Soldier for no reason. I've narrowed my decision down to the Jackal or the Tech Thumper.
The soldiers sidegrade thumper is really good

Let me remind you that the stealth spinfusor has a wider array of uses than the jackal, and since it's another spinfusor, you don't need to "re-learn" to use a weapon.

You should get the Stealth Spinfusor. More versatile and not banned in literally everything.
Is the game still playable even if you dont invest money into it can you earn new weapons easily
Like most other F2P games, getting new (especially powerful or gameplay changing) weapons takes a lot of time, but the game is still somewhat balanced and enjoyable with the default weapons.

The default weapons are actually really good compared to some of the unlockable ones so this game isn't too p2w.
I met somebody in game who said "Will you guys stop using that overpowered spinfusor? It's bullshit." it was pretty damn hilarious to listen to him explaining why alspinfusorsl were overpowered.
This is a one week bump and this game is dead.
Anyone who still plays, try lowering your FOV. Today I tried 72 fov so I could see better at long range and I became the bossmaster of chaining. I got a 50 kill spree and 3 hackusations from AR sniping people.
It's not dead, about 1,000 people still play daily

He said he's going to try to push Bella Omega back in custom rotations (paraphrasing) and a couple of other things, so I think we'll def. be seeing some improvement
The game is slowly dying
It's certainly nowhere near the player count it had around release.
I've already uninstalled, the game got a bit in the shadow of others for me.
The reason why this game isn't getting played is because of tryhard teamstackers who can't play the game unless if they have another buttbuddy with them on the mic. And what ends up happening is that anybody new to the game will simply get stomped so hard that they won't come back, calling it p2w. Seriously there needs to be more ranked servers.

The reason this game isn't getting played is because it didn't live up to the hype.
People thought they would go fast and there would be fast paced combat. Unless they play as a capper, they do not go fast.
Mediums still go fast.
Tribes Ascend really needs an in game voice chat system other than the VGS. It would help to coordinate teams and hopefully encourage more teamwork rather than parties being able to dominate with external voip programs.
