I agree, i thought everyone was over reacting at the plasma guns supposed giant hit box, and was skeptical until someone had it and "missed" me, but still hit me.

I countered it the same way I do all AOE weapons positioning and repeatedly shotting the opponent with a sniper rifle while I flee. I'm not sure if its slower but its easier to dodge because it so easy to see. Also I have unlocked the Falcon but am not using it, I use it as a threat now when someone is pissing me off, along with focusing on that person whenever I see them. I did that to an infiltrator trying to cap on drydock yesterday, 7 flag defenses against just him. Ended the match with 27 flag defenses. 47 kills, 16 assists, 5 deaths. 12 kills were with Nova Blaster. Felt so good.

More Brute power and Raider nerf? Good good, now Hi-rez makes the next update Brute based and left the annoying classes at last in the list.

He was using Stealth Spinfusor and Pistol, he could have killed me fine if he had focused on me. Though I did have some team mates who were dicks and would come up behind me and melee. I have a reflex to that now that makes me do a 180 shot them with my rifle and then melee. I also dueled some juggs on the mid cliff, Nova Blaster is so good vs fatties. If only having a ping >80 didn't make it useless.

Nova Blaster is the best anti-fatass weapon ever, unless said fatasses have X1 LMG equipped.

I hate having a ping over 60, it drastically changes how far you need to lead. You get used to your average ping, then when you get 140 or so you just suck and nothing works right :(

Nobody is in the server, hop in.

And if I get sniped at, the first shot's usually a miss so I just cloak for a few seconds and they lose me, and I keep a note of where they are so I can avoid them or backstab them.

If I can't make the shot I won't take it, unless its against a flag carrier. I probably shot significantly less shots then most Sentinel's but I have better accuracy. I never see Infilitrators run Close combat any more, they usually have Egocentric because they have the Jackal, or survivalist because its great.

So does anyone know how to fix this weird keyboard problem... When I type the @ key, the console closes. I changed the console key to a different key (hash hey) and Tribes reported the "quote" key was pressed. So now the hash key controls the console, which is fine, but the @ key still closes the console! UK keyboard here, any help?

Is the patch out allready? the plasma guns hitbox is still way bigger than the actual projectile.

You get used to your average ping, then when you get 140 or so you just suck and nothing works right :([/QUOTE] Same problem here, I always play with 50 to 60 ping, but lately it started skyrocketing to 200 or even 300 every now and then, messing with skiing, aiming, everything :( I play on EU-Amsterdam, on EU-UK I have 100+ ping all the time and it's a bit unplayable.

On the issue of keyboard layouts. It's really on/off for me. One time it uses the layout my keyboard has, sometimes the US layout.

Happens to me too. Keep switching my keybord to german, where Y and Z are inverted one another and makes me write like a retard and can't say [VGY] or [VVY] quickly

Brutes are fun.

i unlocked brute since they buffed his primary a little, gotta say there's nothing like suicide mission in to the flagstand to spam fractals

Brute is quickly becoming my favourite class, and half the time I don't even need to use my fractals at all also, I'm at 46k exp; keep saving or buy something? And if buy something, what would you suggest.
