Playing infiltrator without any upgrades of any sort is very.. unrewarding. A sticky in some medium's ass leaves him with a pip of life.. and the one with a sticky on him will most of the time get close to you and make you suicide. Also there are no mean to destroy turrets at a distance with the default weapons. You gotta get close and grenade. If you try to accomplish the 'assets distruption' role, you either have a spinfusor/jackal or die by a level 0 turret aaaaaall the time..
throw more than one sticky everything will DIE
throw more than one sticky everything will DIE
light = 1 sticky medium = 1 sticky + 1/2 pistol shots heavy = 2 stickies + 1/2 pistol shots
light = 1 sticky medium = 1 sticky + 1/2 pistol shots heavy = 2 stickies + 1/2 pistol shots
With or without upgrades?
light = 1 sticky medium = 1 sticky + 1/2 pistol shots heavy = 2 stickies + 1/2 pistol shots
To be fair, a large portion of those heavies will be braindead brutes who've just walked through their own fractals
With or without upgrades?
upgrades for stickies don't increase damage on players, only on buildings/vehicles.
upgrades for stickies don't increase damage on players, only on buildings/vehicles.
I think the 20% armoured thing is a little useless on some of the items it's on not stickies, obviously, but tech turrets etc
tech turrets do 75 a shot on drive-by shrikes. it's fun on drydock because if you get like 5 tech's on stand with turrets spread out and an enemy shrike comes flying by it'll get wrecked out the ass.

tech's aren't only used for gen defending you know.
tech's aren't only used for gen defending you know.
I know, but something like +1 turret carried or 'Turrets count as armoured' would be a damn sight more helpful wherever

The see me rollin', they hatin' Anyone else getting really long games on Raindance because people grab the flag and holdout in your gen room spamming those extra long fractals? I had two games like this and one of them the people fractal spamming were using the infinite grenade exploit. The other game I had no idea what the fuck happened but they were spamming our gen room with mega fractals while they weren't even inside it. Good to see it getting abused though, it will get noticed/fixed faster.

Today I got Prism Mines with my exp, on defense they are great, explosion radius is huge and people rarely notice them because no one except me seems to be using them, on attack however they are only good when enemy gen room is already a party zone because enemies with full health (except the rare unupgraded lights) will always survive the explosion. I'd say they are fine, but seeing how powerful some unlocks are and that they take the Stickies away, I think another 100 damage buff wouldn't hurt. Bonus vs armored on them is pretty damn useless as well.
Infiltrator is like the tech in that they both start with jackshit for equipment.
you mean infiltrator is like tech in that they both start with sexy sexy default loadouts, but people moan that they suck and hence the unlockables are op? [editline]15th June 2012[/editline]
Seems a little situational for the last tier of upgrades though for the most part, a vehicle is the last thing I expect to some waltzing into my gen
why are you putting turrets in the gen room????
A single tech with his 2 turrets that knows what he's doing can defend a gen room by himself better than a group of heavies can.
yes but what's the point of keeping the gen up when all your deployables are in the gen, you need to defend the flag as tech
yes but what's the point of keeping the gen up when all your deployables are in the gen, you need to defend the flag as tech
Because the gen powers more than just your two turrets?
Because the gen powers more than just your two turrets?
not by much, it's pretty much imperative you put those turrets on the flag imo
Been playing recently. Got the Holdout Shotgun. Pretty good when you need a weapon to kill a heavy :v:
Been playing recently. Got the Holdout Shotgun. If someone grabs the flag just before I do I can mow down the heavies chasing after him with the shotgun and it feels awesome.
not by much, it's pretty much imperative you put those turrets on the flag imo
At least one tech should have his turrets in the gen room if the enemy is attacking it at all. The rest of the techs should be defending the flag. Unless no one is attacking the gen, then everyone should defend the flag.
I love my shotgun because I can just take chunks out of someone's health while zooming past.
I dont get why everybody hates the shotguns. PTH shotgun is awesome to blast hp away, brute shotgun is ok for indoor fight and tech saw-off hits pretty damn hard. Problem all of them are ungodly slow but when they work they do the job.

Problem all of them are ungodly slow but when they work they do the job.
I've never really seen much hate towards other shotguns, but the pathfinder shotgun is normally disliked because you need a ranged weapon to chase/kill people with, so the short range on the shotgun makes it far less effective than the lar, and the short range damage is already fulfilled with your spinfuser/bolt launcher so you're really only getting the ability to mid-air close range with the shotgun I still prefer the shotgun because I play pubs where nobody caps fast enough for the shotgun to never be useful and it's much easier to use anyway
I play pubs where nobody caps fast enough for the shotgun to never be useful and it's much easier to use anyway
Man, I wish I played with pups on the other team that are that bad... I usually pick the team with the least stacked players. Everyone on my team llama grabs.
I think my impact nitrons are fucking magnetic because whenever I go chasing I somehow manage to directly hit the enemy with the flag every time Seriously this shit is weird
How is the devastator spinfusor not a straight upgrade? It does 50 less splash damage and a bit less against base assets and vehicles... but 204 more damage to everything else and more splash radius.
