• Did you run out of ammo in Half-Life games?

You bring me nostalgia with just thinking of myself in blastpit without any Machinegun Ammo everytime I would go there. Then I started saving the ammo before going in other times i played it.
When I tried to play Half-Life on hard, it went perfectly until I got to the last levels. I ran out of every type of ammo, I just couldn't find anymore. I gave up and turned on cheats.
In Ravenholm, I used Gravity gun all the time, but I still sometimes runned out of shotgun rounds.
Infinite spawns scare me. If they are infinite you have to advance (usually towards them), but if it's not, then you get mowed down the second you leave cover. And if you wait too long to go, you've just wasted a solid chunk of your ammunition. Edit: I mean for other games besides Half-Life, which has none I believe.
I didn't had that problem because I played at least 1 year of gmod (pirated lol, now I have it bought). (User was banned for this post ("pirated Gmod" - Lithifold))
I ran out of ammo in Blast Pit,and then Power up was realy a bitch. But hat was only on my first playthrough, just made it to lambda core, after that,my PC crashed and i had to start again. Then,Xen was a problem,i killed the Nihiliant with just the Hornet Gun and 3 RPG Rockets.Shit was sooooo cash.
I wonder when they'll fix the randomly reloading weapons in all of the Half Life games I shoot my pistol, swap to shotgun, shoot, reload and my pistol magically reloaded itself.
I wonder when they'll fix the randomly reloading weapons in all of the Half Life games I shoot my pistol, swap to shotgun, shoot, reload and my pistol magically reloaded itself.
I'm pretty sure that's not a bug.
I never did because my gaming OCD causes me to not use a weapon if the ammo count is around 80% below the maximum.
I actually do this. But I always try to keep my ammo at maximum, and I don't use it if it's like 20% left, And I reload after every shot I make.
Can't run out of motherfucking Crowbar ammo :smug:
I wonder when they'll fix the randomly reloading weapons in all of the Half Life games I shoot my pistol, swap to shotgun, shoot, reload and my pistol magically reloaded itself.
I thought this was a feature on the "Easy" setting.
I don't remember any map spawning infintely zombies.
the part where you have to activate the switch to move the cart thing, like where you try to cross the roof and the fast zombies swarm you? that street
That is when i ran out of ammo. Good thing I played the game after TF2. Circle strafing zombies to death with a crowbar is pretty good. All you have to do is make sure you only face one at a time, else wise, you will die fast... Then 3 came up on me :C
I consistently ran out of ammo on half life and all of its mods. For Half Life 2, the first half of canals on hard difficulty had me nearly running out of ammo a lot and relying on the good ol' crowbar. After that, it was just the secondary for the AR2 and MP7 that became a problem. For all the singleplayer mods for half life 2, its not the ammo itself that's the problem, its having something with a big enough clip to handle the 30-50 combine being thrown at you all at once. Its the one thing I've noticed that's consistent with 95% of all good single player mods for Half life 2.
I almost always run out of absolutely everything but pistol ammo. ALMOST always. Then, of course, at the time I need the damn thing the most, I hear the goddamn HEV vox: "Ammunition depleted." Cue long string of curse words and one pissed the fuck off poison headcrab orgy.
Meanign all amunition from pistols, automatic weapons, shotguns and explosives are all depleted and there's nothing to replenish them with. This happened me when i was playing HL1 on hard. I went against Nihilanth with a crowbar, 17 round of pistol bullets and hornet gun. Needless to say i was so pissed off after trying a week that i decided to give up and restart the game again. Nexst time i arrived with nearly full ammunition in every single weapon.
I used a crowbar.
playing co op with a friend on hard had to crowbar the shit outoff some combine until alex opend a door
When starting Ravenholm from the "new game" menu. They give you almost no bullets.
i ran out of all ammo on HL2:Lost Coast.
I did on my first run through of HL2. Ravenholm Especially.
I never fired a round in Ravenholm :slick: Used the Gravity Gun the whole way through Although you use up ammo a lot more in Half Life 1, you do run out of ammo, but never to a point where you are fucked because you can't kill anything. Just have to be sparing with the bigger weapons.
I never did because my gaming OCD causes me to not use a weapon if the ammo count is around 80% below the maximum.
I'm the same, I save ammo for good guns just in case I need them. I used the .357 in Half Life 2 about twice.
I'm the same, I save ammo for good guns just in case I need them. I used the .357 in Half Life 2 about twice.
Twice? Hell, If I couldn't use my crowbar. I would always use my .357, Or atleast my crossbow. I fucking love crossbows.
I never did because my gaming OCD causes me to not use a weapon if the ammo count is around 80% below the maximum.
Do you know the area where you can get run over by a train? My OCD made me stand next to a door in that area and every time I tried to leave, an entity spawned a combine with a pistol. I killed every on that came out and had to type kill into the console to stop.
On my 3rd run on Ravenholm, I bhop'd everywhere with a crowbar, didn't use a single bullet
