My DLC weapons haven't installed, but the character pack has. Help someone? I just want to scythe :D
Check your download page on Steam, it may have paused on you.
I'm starting to really fucking hate KF's server browser.
To be honest, I feel they should made a new dlc cool character pack for the community.
After all, isn't a Stig arround? I could be a cool dlc but they went for the weapons.
I think is ok to charge a little amount for weapons, but 8$ is a little too much for weapons that gives really good options and cover some weak points of the perks (low weight firebug weapons, AOE melee weapon for bersekers)
The claymore also got an AoE added to its swing, but probably not as substantial as the scythe.
I'm starting to really fucking hate KF's server browser.
I wouldn't mind it too much if there was an option to stop the server que from loading the servers it finds.
Just use the steam server browser for Killing Floor. It take a bit of guesswork seeing as difficulty isn't displayed, but it's still a lot faster then using the in-game browser.
At least you can pick up the DLC weapons from players who drop them.
The pay-for-weapons wouldn't be such a problem if they didn't actually effect the gameplay (they do, they're weapons with different stats and abilities than the other guns) and if you didn't get them rubbed in your face every 5-10 minutes.
Every time you go to access the store, a big fat DLC block will be staring you right the face for every DLC gun.
Not only did Tripwire say they'd never make players pay money to have weapons, but the weapons give players a direct advantage over everyone else. Specifically, the flare revolvers. The flare revolvers are rediciously OP. A level 6 firebug can 1-2 shot all the low teir monsters and solo scrakes and fleshpounds easily. The revolvers have 12x16 ammo, too. The flare revolvers do such a ridiculous amount of damage, when it was time to fight the patriarch, we damaged him enough to run away. Then he came back. We fought him again, a few players down because they died. The level 6 firebug got close to the patriarch when he was down, and shot all 12 rounds into him. He ran away again, and died from the afterburn.
It is not fair.
I already bought all of the previous skin packs to "support the devs", sans the chick, lodes-e-mone, and commando chicken.
So that's $14 dollars on top of first day buying the game and supporting it since release.
If I've been supporting the devs I shouldn't be left out of a PART OF THE GAME THAT ACTUALLY MEANS SOMETHING. The skins are a different story, they're just cosmetic, aesthetic changes. The weapons actually impact the gameplay.
I am ridiculously pissed off at tripwire.
I just read this on the forums :v:
I do not agree on the term: "pay to win". I don't care if the "new weapon dlc" is op, ballanced or whatever.
So from today I will stop playing any tripwire product for the next 100 days as a demonstration against "pay to win" content in hardcore games.
Hope I will get some support, and I guess I see you guys in february.

I can understand not liking the paid DLC, but doing this is just plain retarded. You didn't need those weapons to enjoy the game like you have until now, it's not like they made the game any worse.
I felt more shafted by Red Orchestra 2's Digital Deluxe Edition to be honest.
I'd really like to see more WWII weapons in KF, since the MKb is ported from RO2 with new animations, why not do the same for the other guns?
Well, I am really thinking of buying the DLC Weapon Pack for me and my brother, but Tripwire will better not repeat that Weapon DLC bizz for the Christmas Update.
Yay, I finally got my Sharpshooter to level 5 today
Well, I am really thinking of buying the DLC Weapon Pack for me and my brother, but Tripwire will better not repeat that Weapon DLC bizz for the Christmas Update.
The only reason they charged for the pack this time is because they are community weapons. If they add more community weapons for the Christmas update then you can bank on them charging for them again.
Their answer makes sense and sounds really logical, although it could be all bullshit :v:
I trust Tripwire and I agree that they already released tons of free dlc, a bit of paid DLC does not hurt at all. Apparently it is cosmetic, although I have not checked it yet. But the weapons on the DLC pack do not feel overpowered at all.
Yeah it's all bullshit.
Let's just ignore the game launched at HALF PRICE for preorderers, and has been THREE DOLLARS several times, and is always been QUARTER PRICE at least three times a year, every year, and we ALWAYS get holiday events for motherfucking FREE, and every new IJC weapon has applicable stats to a weapon that's cheaper to get at the trader except the 99.
You people are fucking incredible. Tripwire doesn't owe you shit.
It is not fair.
You've obviously never actually played Firebug, and you still can't solo HoE unless you're a: level 6 and b: already an incredibly good player to begin with, and could already solo it anyway. The revolvers also do less damage than the husk cannon and have a smaller AoE even with two of them.
The trenchgun and the flare revolvers makes the Firebug pretty strong. With a bit of luck it will back again to be seen to the normal team setups.
P.D: Now all the rookies who play as Medic are confused, because they don´t know why their grenades "make spawn green smoke" :V
Why have they chosen these paticular modders? Serious question, I'm just wondering why they get featured DLC over other people's work.
Why have they chosen these paticular modders? Serious question, I'm just wondering why they get featured DLC over other people's work.
Because they've been with the community since day one and they also help other modders, and unlike say WPC, they don't port anything or make it exclusive to their little clan. All their stuff is original.

Sure, okay. Explain the ranged Berserker weapon and the low weight Firebug hand gun.
Yeah because I can't buy an Xbox for the Zerker. Everytime I click on the Xbox pic it says "Get out of there, berserker. You are a berserker. You can't buy any ranged weapons. That LAR you always carry is all in your head. All those weapons the sharp bought for you with money you gave him don't exist. Get off of there, berserker."
It's like you never actually play except on holiday events to get your little skins.
I'm starting to really fucking hate KF's server browser.
I've never liked it to begin with. The fact that you have to reload it in its entirety everytime you want to change servers really slows things down.

God you can be this idiotic.
The Sawbow is a ranged weapon made for the berseker; gains a melee damage bonus with the perk.
Tell me is not a diferent way to play and prove this doesn't cover the berseker main weakness.

Plus the "no full servers" never works.
Myeh, personal thoughts on the DLC -- I actually like the idea of having community packs of weapons, skins, or whatever else. My only problem is that $8 is wayyy to much for four weapons. I just bought the pack myself, but that's only because it's only $4 at the moment.
Tell me is not a diferent way to play and prove this doesn't cover the berseker main weakness.
Main weakness?
It's pretty clear you don't actually play HoE, because there is no weakness, because no one who is actually good at this game on any difficulty any time, any place, any ping stays a single class.
Tripwire has to balance the game for all levels of skill, and this includes people who understand that the balancing agent in KF isn't abilites and never was to begin with, it's logistics.
You clearly don't get the concept of playing zerker for three waves to build up cash, and then switching to sharp for your LR cheese, then switching to the actual class you meant to play as for the remaining rounds and then switching to demo and lolstomping the pat because it's late, you don't feel like fucking with him and it's time to go to bed.
Top tier players like Gigamonkey, CommandoBilly, Evil, and Claws and everyone else who figured this out after HoE was introduced have had very little to say, because all this does aside from making soloing HOE much more viable for support classes is change the economics of the game (which is actually how it's fucking balanced at high level play to begin with) IN FAVOR of staying a single class, which is what people who don't understand how to play this game to its full extent do in the first place.
So do go ahead and explain to me how a player with all level 6 and all HoE map achievements gives a fuck about class balancing when you can switch after every wave by design.
Creepy Crawlies
Kill 15 Hillbilly Crawlers with the Tommy Gun or MKb
I'm pretty sure I've done this.
SEVERAL times.

Not as bad as kill six in one mag. I must have killed 15 before it counted.

I was using the steampunk demo and you played with the steampunk medic.

:tinfoil:
Was it a level five medic using DJ skully? then it probably was.
[editline]asda[/editline]
Aparently not.
Does damage dealt with Trenchgun count towards Firebug perk progression? Or is it just the afterburn damage it deals? That'd be stupid, but I wonder.
