If your talking about hillbilly horror, the safest place iv'e found is the bridge (6 man HoE). The tool shed is a death trap but it is still workable as iv'e won there too but a good team is an absolute must to pull it off, a support has to stay welding the front door the entire time cause if that drops too early then it's game over. Attic is similar to the bridge but harder to pull off, too tight to move and too late to see stuff most of the time but again it is possible to do. I've won games playign those 3 spots and 1 kiting (which was bloody horrible thanks to the crawler model and the upper left corner of the map being a nightmare to traverse) Wyre is still the king of hard to win while defending imo.
The safest place I know is that building with the hole in the roof, where the trampolin is loacted. Just go i n the attic and hole youself up with enough firepower to gun everything down. Not really excited but it gets the work done.
It's safer in that building downstairs. You can weld all the doors except the one that leads to the porch and nothing can get to you.

The only way they can get in if you wield all the doors is the staircase from the attic.

Whenever I do that the zeds only come through that door, aside from a few crawlers down the stairs. Makes it really easy to defend the house.
wield all the doors
this is what i do when i play kf
Holy shit I could've sworn on the stat page in-game for Scythe vs Claymore, it says the Scythe is slower and does less damage. But the videos in that thread clearly show it does way more damage than the claymore and it can hit multiple targets. What is even the point in the claymore.
The claymore can hit multiple targets too. At least it's supposed to be able to, according to the patch notes.
few pages late but whatever
For those of you angry over the new weapons DLC, take a look at a response from Tripwire: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showpost.php?p=1142494&postcount=6
So basically this new DLC is just a reskin pack? Similar to the DLC characters? ...i have no problem with this.
few pages late but whatever So basically this new DLC is just a reskin pack? Similar to the DLC characters? ...i have no problem with this.
Flare revolvers and Berserker crossbow are completely new weapons though.
I'm slightly not OK with this then. I'm not as upset as I *could* be, because it's a co-op game, but still.
The summary in one post basically said that the Thompson and flare revolvers are basically side-grades. Off-perk the flare revolvers are a fair bit better than the regular revolvers. But the new crossbow and scythe are huge buffs/upgrades to the berserker perk.
It's really hard to hit with the flaregun sometimes. The projectile seems kinda wonky. It might hit them without getting anywhere near their hitbox, or go straight through a couple of enemies. When it does hit, it sure does a lot of damage, though.
Everyday I'm trampolin' :v:
I fucking love the trench gun, but it seems people are getting mad at me in servers because the particle effects obscure their vision.
You should apologize then take out a flamethrower or m32.
Also, I was playing by myself in a Mountain Pass server a bit ago and later in the round a few of my friends joined, and when they asked where I was I just shot the flare pistol into the air and they headed towards the origin of it. Kind of like using a flare gun in real life. :v: [editline]26th October 2012[/editline] I absolutely love the new firebug weapons.
I kinda like those big servers but they have all their own custom weapons and none of the latest dlc ones. I love to dual wield two revolvers though with a STG44. How do I take out Fleshpounds without them raging at you? Do you just need a big gun or is there a better way to take him out?

Use an axe and use the alt fire and smack his head every 3 or 4 seconds. He'll never rage.

In solo runs it's ok to empty your guns at FP but in multiplayer that only means trouble if your team is not prepared to take one down right away.
fleshpound genocide best day of my life
I can't seem to find all of the gnomes. I couldn't find 8 gnomes while I was soloing. And yes, I saw the gnomes in the field.
Most of them are hidden in little alcoves made out of junk or hay or whatever. Some of them are hidden in cupboards, one of them is in the back of the semi, there are two in the meat drying shed behind the big red barn. There's one in the little shack/tower thing on the hill in the corner of the map. There's a few in vehicles. There's on in a washing machine in front of the house. There's one in the lake, as well as one standing beside the lake. There's one in the cooler in the workshop beside the boat house. The best way to go about it honestly is to keep a scrake alive and just wander searching everywhere. If there's a nook you can look in, look in it. Even if it doesn't make any sense for it to be there. Sometimes the gnomes do glitch, though. I noticed this on a few when I was playing online, sometimes they glitch and can't be shot or stabbed for some reason.
The best way to go about it honestly is to keep a scrake alive
Nope. Firebug + Husk. Unlimited search time.
Finally got the Grim Reaper turns out the problem was that I was on Beginner and it only works on Normal (Though other people seem to have been able to do it on Beginner, so wtf)
Nope. Firebug + Husk. Unlimited search time.
If you're level 6, yeah. Otherwise the scrake is the best bet, assuming you know how to down one.
I just went solo on beginner and got most of the achievements, it's not like you can't outpace 5-10 specimens when searching.
I just went solo on beginner and got most of the achievements, it's not like you can't outpace 5-10 specimens when searching.
I had a team of six where we just kept a single clot (or uncle jim bob billy whatever the fuck his name is) alive while searching for the gnomes. If the clot does grab you, just jump and it'll break the grip (unless you're playing on HoE, where that is disabled). Concerning fleshpound ownage, the best technique I've seen yet to solo kill one is to go support specialist w/hunting shotty, and do the ol' nade, HS, nade, nade, HS trick. At level 6, you can solo kill a fleshpound on HoE w/6 players. The other method of course would be to use the M99, but now that every bullet costs 250 dollars, that's a bit less practical than before.
Finally got the Grim Reaper turns out the problem was that I was on Beginner and it only works on Normal (Though other people seem to have been able to do it on Beginner, so wtf)
You can definitely get the other achievements on beginner, But there is no map achievement for beginner so it would have been impossible for them to do that.
I have six of the achievements AND have a map achievement but I don't have the reaper.
