Don't know how I feel about the whitelist removal.
i'll probably farm stalkers later
the damage requirements are easy but the stalker requirement is kind of horseshit

I'm ok with stalker farmers. I'm just afraid of all the level 6 Demomen that will no doubt spawn from this. The fog is coming.

there already are worse demo grinding maps with infinite ammo boxes, LAW spawns, and zeds in a bit.

Load testmap on hard/suicidal and spawn a fleshpound with a scrake in the room where they are stuck.
Throw all you grenades and repeat.
I know TW is trying to get more people into killing floor but getting rid of the whitelist brings only problems.

oh no people have level 6 perks without wasting hundreds of hours of their life
what's the problem again?
The fact that I've put over 100 hours into kf2 and I still feel pretty gimped unless I play sharp or medic is kind of annoying
Hell, if they gave actual weapon damage numbers and stuff in the game, even that would make it seem less of a grind. It sucks knowing you have to do x amount of damage, without knowing how much damage you're actually doing per shot or how much up the enemies have.

just read the wiki
Ugh, I refuse to play commando due to the Stalker kills. I'd feel worthless until a higher level because the rifles do piss poor damage on lower levels anyways.
It's a brutal cycle.

Thats not the point: The point is if you don't know how to play your class in a co-op game, you just fuck everybody else.
I know being low level is annoying as fuck and takes time, but taking the sonic speed path and work your way up without knowing the basic you are just a waste.
just read the wiki
I have, and I always refer to it for info.
I heavily doubt the majority of players do though. Would it really hurt to show more info on the weapons than a few bars that don't really tell you much at all?

You can still level perks while playing as other perks. Just carry around a bullpup and use it on stalkers. It won't take that long.

This. It's so obvious when somebody used SAM to get all their perks up.

There is a base damage table for most of the weapons already.

yeah because tables take a lot of space and the way damage works in KF is a bit more nuanced than x weapon does y damage because of perking, resistances on certain specimens, damage over time, headshot multipliers, etc.
I had a good game on Suicidal on Farm. Although we died at wave 10, everybody was nice with all: demomen not spaming grenades, medics healing everyone, even the berserkers were nice to bring to me some Stalkers to kill.
We can dream for a good gameplay.

This. In my time getting to Berserker 6 I accumulated something around 5,000 stalker kills. (note this is just the times I took a bullpup with me)
The damage on the other hand is where commando gets me. Those pea shooters take forever.

I find it easy to rack up the damage using the FAL
I really had no problem with the commando levelling. It was my first level 6 perk, in fact. I just played it a lot and enjoyed earning the map achievements, which were my real focus above levelling perks. Oooh, nothing was better than playing a tough game of Icebreaker when you've only recently started off.
Even on normal, just the atmosphere on that map combined with the zeds being what they were made it feel as difficult as a hard game would've. KF can be pretty nice sometimes, it felt like such an amazing game when I first got it.
Gotta say one thing I love so much about this game is the headshot damage with explosive weapons.
Makes you aim instead of go like a dumb idiot spaming the grenade launcher or the LAW.
oh broken door, how i love thee

our suicidal run was made easier by a door being welded half open. We were able to use that shit to kill fleshpounds and skrakes while they tried to break down the door. only the 2nd or 3rd time I've had this happen. Glad it happened on a suicidal attempt.
i love that this still hasn't been fixed yet.
Has the game gotten really unstable for anyone else lately?
Does anyone else get their perk progress reverted after changing map/exiting to main menu after playing on a custom map? So far I've tried 2 perk leveling maps, and one of them doesn't even allow you to choose perks, despite the whitelist apparently being removed.

I hope they never fix them.

Testmap6p FiringRangeV2 in solo works.

Not that i know how or like using it, but this is easy to replicate on most of the double doors in the game. I have a few friends that have worked out how to do it.

Can you find out how and let me know, this shit is great
Talking about doors, the door climb bug somehow is working again.
Talking about doors, the door climb bug somehow is working again.
what door climbing bug?
Stand next to a closed door with a wall running along side it, when it opens out (as a zed or friendly walks through) you'll be wedged in the corner or placed above the door itself.
As for the half door exploit, i know it's something to do with actually destroying part of the door with a grenade and some form of welding but other than that i can't say because my firends like to laugh at me when i try and figure out how to do it myself.
Your friends are assholes for not telling you how to do it.
[editline]11th November 2012[/editline]
Well, specifically for laughing at you trying and then not telling you.
