I think we have enough fast and dangerous creatures in the Crawler. Fuck I hate the crawler.

The only thing I can think for them to add would be something flying, but that wouldn't work so well in many maps.
I need some loadout suggestions for a level 6 Sharpshooter whose looking to play on Hard, Suicidal, and HoE.
I mostly tend to stick to hard/long games, using one of the purchasable pistols for trash specimens and the crossbow for harder stuff, but I know Suicidal and HoE ramp up the Flesh Pounds Crossbow Resistance, so I figure I might as well learn to adapt instead of just applying the same old loadouts over and over.
Honestly for sharpshooters there's not a whole lot of room for maneuver when it comes to effective load outs. Bow and a single mk23 is the easiest to play and arguably the most effective, but if you get you're shit together you can use the M14 + LAR to near commando killing speed. The main issue with that load out is that there is little room for error unlike the bow which is so more forgiving. I consider myself pretty decent with that combo but every so often I still fuck up because the game inexplicably decides to fuck me over with the hit-boxes.
They should add a new type of specimen IMO. they added the husk a while ago, they should add something else now. Like a new long range who throws something dangerous but easily dodgable. Or something fast and real dangerous, but rare.
I think there should be one that has a lot of health, and doesn't actually damage you, but just makes a habit of standing in front of enemies that can and making it harder for you to take them out.

Already have that in the form of the bloat, SC and FP.
the idea being that it stands in front of Scrakes and Fleshpounds as they approach. And I'm talking a lot of damage, like, nowhere close to the bloat's one pistol headshot and it's down.
So a damage sponge.
That could be interesting, actually.

The brute sounds very similar to what you want but that's thing is not exactly fun to play against for the very reason that it has no 'proper' weakness or tactic.
The Bloat has a potentially lethal attack with a massive potential to soak up damage while blocking you from shooting other targets specifically husks and sirens, But as a trade of for that potential it's slow and incredibly easy to head shot when not at close range, it works well.
Something like your suggestion needs a weakness, a tactic to fight against effectively rather than just everyone shoot it because when it's dead your entire team will be reloading when a raging FP comes charging into a group which there's gonna be nothing you can do to prevent.
I do agree that a new specimen would be a nice addition, but it has to fit in.
Weakness to fire and explosives?
Holy shit using the hunting shotgun down a hallway of zeds is the most satisfying thing ever.
pop a grenade from the m79 at a crowd of zeds
the gibbing sounds drown the explosion sound completely :v:

That said I remember a cutsom server I joined a long while back, they had this custom 'fighter' zed that had powerful arms and would block its face, absolutely wrecked shit up close. Thing was it was slow as hell and its stomach was a weak spot, making you have to change your aim quite significantly.
I think it had about the same health as a husk, not sure. This was a very long time ago

That's actually the Brute mentioned in the post you quoted.
Weakness to fire and explosives?
it's pretty bloody strong against both of those, I think it's more resistant than a husk

He was giving a suggestion for balancing the specimen that would work as a meat shield for the stronger zeds. I personally don't really like that idea as other zeds already become a major annoyance while the husk stays behind all the others while shooting his cannon, screwing up your attempt that headshotting the scrake or FP at worst.

Or hey, this is 2013 and we have MAC-10s and the Trench gun!
Dual Magnums
Oh how I'll miss the Christmas Zeds as they vanish tomorrow/today. I think the game works better as a Christmas themed game, I have no idea why.
I think it's because it's so much more surreal.
To be honest, this year Christmas event was kinda meh in terms of style:
I wish they did ZED aliens to go along with the map and the new weapon. Still I just love TW events.
Tripwire didn't make the Zeds aliens because they couldn't agree on how many tits the alien stalker should have

Three of course.
The total recall hoe could work as alien stalker.

Out of all the zeds that annoy me the most, I would say the husk is number one. It doesn't matter where I sidestep, jump, or dodge, he always predicts my movements and fires his cannon at me.

They were spent after the halloween event, With two events that close together it's only natural one is going to be pretty low quality.

Crawlers. Fucking crawlers.
Can you unlock the Z.E.D. gun after the event is over? Haven't gotten a chance to play KF yet, and the event ends soon.
I wish they did ZED aliens to go along with the map
I doubt they considered space-themed zeds for this event, but Broodovermind, the Tripwire guy responsible for all of the event zed models and textures so far, said he would create a full "Fancy Specimens" replacement set if his Classy Gorefast item on the Steam workshop reached 2,000 ratings or 10,000 subscribers:

I'd like to see what would happen if that voice pack mentioned in the description ever came to fruition.

I mostly get annoyed by Crawlers whenever I'm in some area and the game spams them like a fucking platoon. But I get what you're saying
