A gyrojet would be really possible. They already have the trajectory thing down from the way the flare revolver works, they'd just have to modify the way it works and have it so the particle is different and it emits an explosive.

Or a unique grenade effect similar to the way the medic has one. Something like a caltrop grenade that would not only explode but slow the advance of zeds and better group them with the ones catching up.

What would be the difference between tripmines and pipebombs?

Trips would go off on the first enemy to trip them, they could be cheaper perhaps and you can carry twice as many but they're less powerful or directed. Other ideas: MIRV grenades Shrapnel grenades (you know how nades have those shrapnel pieces that come out and rarely do anything? Maybe like 5x as many bits of shrapnel fly out.) remote detonation explosives would be nice too, if I had a dollar for everytime a raging FP has run over a pipe before it went off and wiped the squad I'd be a rich man.
Why not a satchel charge that will only detonate when you tell it to, and won't explode upon taking damage.
Speaking of class based nades, we have them only for medic and pyro. Suggestions: Berserker: Trap nade - immobilize several low tier (clots, crawlers, stalkers...) zeds or 1 high tier (scrake, fp, husk). Demo: Proximity nade - sticks to the surface, works similar to pipe bombs, but also detonates on 2+ low tier zeds. Commando: Bouncing Betty - bouncing nade, which releases shrapnel for few seconds. Support: MIRV nades - nade explodes into 4-5 smaller nades. Sharpshooter: Paralytic gas nade - greatly slows enemy down, so you can easy headshot them as long as they stay in gas cloud.

Would be good to have ability to switch between types of nades like you switch firing mode.
Why not make those special grenades buy-able at the trader??

I kinda wish Firebug had another upper end weapon. At the moment, there is a bit of a gap between the trenchgun and the husk fireball launcher (which is kind of an iffy weapon). Often times I'll wind up buying dual flare guns and a trench shotgun, then give the remainder of my money away to other classes as the game continues on.

The other day, I was running Moonbase hard with a friend and because he died I had to run it solo and ended up with 2.2k at the end of the wave. Instead of spending it on buying a M99 and ammo, I instead gave it all to the new players, half of whom were sixes. The next round we pretty much wiped instantly because those players were idiots and didn't heal each other or anyone else or even themselves. I got so mad.
The game's updating for me. They must have something else aside from reverting the Zeds to the normal one.
Ugh The tooltip about only using big guns on the FP really needs to be more visable. I had some lvl2 Support lecture me on how bad I was for not trying to shoot down a FP with my MP7 medic gun.
Every time I see a medic go after a FP alone I just smack myself in the face. It's even worse when they're level 4+ and there is a bezerker trying to put himself in the way so it doesn't kill them both. This happens way to much.
I can see throwing yourself at one and unloading your pea shooter to get its attention if there's nobody else to do it. I go it alone only if it's raging to buy the team time if they need it or to get it back to walking speed if I'm trying to kite it into pipe bombs.
