I wish Killing Floor had a crowbar for the berserker.
At this moment i think that KF has all the weapons that we needed. Maybe if they add more enemies...
At this moment i think that KF has all the weapons that we needed. Maybe if they add more enemies...
Yeah, in terms of gameplay we're set for firearms and such, but the entertainment value threatens to drop if they keep these for years. Once in a while a few new guns is always neat alongside characters. I do agree with you though in that KF could use a few new enemies. Problem is that Tripwire is really careful with adding new enemies and/or weapons. Primarily because they want to keep the balance in gameplay and so far they've done a pretty damn good job at it. Killing Floor is one of the most balanced multiplayer games I've played simply because the devs wanted it to be so. There's no universal "i win" class in the game and there's no instant "oh now you're fucked" specimen to fuck you up. Some maps are easier than others but that's just environmental effect. If they do add new zeds, they'll burn their brains in overdrive for months to get it just right to fit in with the rest. Every specimen should play jointlessly with every other one, kind of fill in their weaknesses. Problem is that right now that is already done, there is always a zed to fill another's weakness. Husk covers the short distance of zeds, Fleshpound covers the aggro of players, Scrake covers the tanking of explosives, Stalkers cover narrow-eyed sharpshooters down a long corridor and crawlers cover w+m1 berserkers. It all fits in with each other, so there's really no need for a new zed. If you can prove me wrong, however, I'd be glad to hear your suggestion.
;36013593']It all fits in with each other, so there's really no need for a new zed.
The need for a new mob, IMO, has nothing to do with game balance. The game's focus is around killing wave after wave of monsters, so with this limited amount of variety it gets pretty repetitive. I've only logged 22 hours in game and can't seem to push myself to play again for this very reason. [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] I'm sure this is something everyone already realizes, but I still think it's need to be said.
Well, another type of gameplay like a mission mode or gungame is possible with custom maps. I always wanted to see something like a campaign of Killing Floor where we visit classic and new maps of the storyline, while you achieve the different objectives. Everything can be improved, but the key is doing it properly.

And for the love of god not that horrible brute.

What they should do is make the Patriarch battle more strategic. It'd be way more interesting if there was more to killing the Patriarch than to spam pipes or just whittle him down until he's out of heals. Plus it bothers me that the minions he summons are just clots and crawlers. I think it would be VERY interesting if a fleshpound or a scrake came strolling in to fuck you up.
The Patriarch itself is a powerful enemy. Spawning FPs and SCs (even in HoE) would fuck up any possibility of victory. I think that we should watch the future update of the Killing Floor mod. They want to add more weapons (like a multiple rocket launcher) or new zeds (i remember see a female patriarch). If that update is sucessful, maybe it will appear in our game too.
Fuck, once it actually works, this game rocks so hard. I finally beat the Patriarch in solo. I was playing beginner difficulty, but shut up.
one crossbow bolt to the head... So was there ever a mod to change the trader back to glados from when the portal 2 arg was happening? I quite liked her.
So was there ever a mod to change the trader back to glados from when the portal 2 arg was happening? I quite liked her.
hell, i want a permanent GLaDos trader. or even weathly
It would be awesome to have a mod that changes the bitchy trader to the trader from RE4.
From "LAVLY BIG GANS" to "WODDYA BOIYIN"? I'm sold.
Or in order to avoid copyright issues with Capcom the mod should be so that the trader just looks really similiar and has re-inacted dialogue. [editline]21st May 2012[/editline] Now I feel like drawing concept art for a trader character inspired by Tallahassee from Zombieland.
RE4's merchant isn't British enough.
It would be awesome to have a mod that changes the bitchy trader to the trader from RE4.
Point me to where I can find high quality rips of the Merchant's lines (I don't own RE4 in any form, can't do it myself) and I'll make a Trader sound/portrait replacement (can't do the model part, unless some other intrepid KF modder would be willing to lend assistance). I did a Google search and found this YouTube video. If need be, that can suffice as an audio source, but I'm not convinced it's a complete rip or in the best quality.

If there is no way to the players without stepping on one, he'd take the one with least pipebombs in his way. Zeds wouldn't try to dodge them, however, they'd just walk right onto them. As for chainsaws, maybe the Patriarch could have a charging attack that doesn't slow him down. His current one makes him stop for a split second after he hits someone with it. This would give him means for an easy escape. Another thing is to give him a damage endurance modifier. The more damage he receives in a very narrow amount of time, the higher the modifier goes, making him take less damage from pretty muhc everything. A short while after being left alone the modifier goes down to zero and he takes normal damage. This would make simply chasing him kind of pointless and let him heal so he can come and get fucked by six AA-12's again.

Good idea. Not.
It might be cool if there were healing stations littered around the map which the Patriarch will run to in order to heal himself, and these stations could be destroyed by players during the final round against the Patriarch. These stations could be protected by loads of different Zeds, and only once the station is attacked will it cause zeds to spawn. i.e. your team can choose to make killing the patriarch easier by eliminating his ability to heal, but it would populate the map with dozens of zeds of varying types.

Think in the patriach as Nemesis. You knock him down and he reappear again in some points of the game. Could work as mid-boss in the mission map.
I love this game. I usually play Medic and Sharpshooter, as Medic all I ever need is Hunting Shotgun and MP5M Medic Gun while for Sharp I always go for Crossbow and Handcannon.

Now that i´m seeing it, is the LAW useful today? i know it was nerfed since X update, but later i heard that it back to their normal settings.
