The crossbow can't do the same at all.
And he was explicitly talking about HoE only. He does not care if the weapons are OP, he just wants them not to be as good in HoE.
But if a weapon makes HoE too easy, it's hard to say that it is balanced for any difficulty...

Solution: make HoE harder by either making more powerfull enemies or nerf the guns just on that mode.

It would be a solution for people who play HoE, but it doesn't change that the gun is overpowered and makes Suicidal and Hard too easy.

It will no doubt go on sale some point soon (it's always one of the games that gets a discount).
The ammount of time you can spend on this game justifies a higher price tag than it's got.

And I'm sorry, but the HSG is just... too much. It overshadows every shotgun just short of the AA-12.
Weighs less, box magazine reload, toggleable spread, 12 to a mag, only slightly less damage than the combat shotty, fires faster than the pump action...
Its superior in just about every way. This thing, M32, and whatever else you can pack? Solo the patty on normal with a lvl 2 support char.

It's usually the opposite for me. Everyone joins at the last few waves and gets us killed by the Patriarch because they are either, low leveled, or not enough money to get the big weapons and just die right away.

I just play as a sharpshooter and taking out sirens as soon as I see them
Don't have many problems with them
Just finished a game where half of the players died right away from the patty. It was just me, some sharpshooter and a medic. Both the sharpshooter and I go down after a few attacks. We think the medic is screwed because it felt like we didn't do enough damage. The medic just runs up to the patty and taps him with a fireaxe and the patty just falls over and croaks. This game can be a bitch sometimes.

When you see the sirens head go down before the scream shoot her in the face. It interrupts the scream animation and she will stop. You can do this until she's dead if you only have a 9mm. The knife also works.
