A question regarding firebug experience using the Mac-10
Do I only get experience with the Mac-10 if I let them burn? For example, if I headshot them right away or kill them with bullets instead of letting them burn, do I get less or even no experience?
Nevermind. I do get experience for everything.
At first i thought that only for setting zeds on burn, but later i read that also for damage (or even headshots).
The MAC-10 is always useful on semi-auto. You can burn up to 30 zeds if you dont miss.
I think the AK47, KSG, pistols and LAR are pretty good off-perk weapons but once you got the money to buy more class-specific weapons, for the love of God, stick to those. I've given a Level 1 Berserker enough money to buy a katana once and he bought an M4 instead.
So I'm looking for a Suicidal/HoE server to play with some fellow experienced players, I find a suicidal server... 3/5 players are level 0-2... yeah no...
I then go to find a HoE server, I find one and... 3 level 0 players
fuck off
I just checked and KF is 50% off, that explains it.
Shouldn't KF be filled with people up to the brim? With all these sales and updates...
well then i just found a cheat in Abusement Park
im going to say what it is

Then tell us already.
Since everyone is complaining about the lack of good servers I figured I might try to open up my server to the FP community. I might play every once in a while too, but I haven't played the game much since last year and have only gotten some perks up to level 2.
So the question is, what difficulty do you guys want, how many waves, and are you ok with a low level playing?
I can safely say that almost everybody would want 10 waves.
I think Hard difficulty is nice, because you do not have to use a lvl 5 perk like in Suicidal, yet it still offers a challenge.
Isn't it possible to make the difficulty changeable by a vote though?

I think it is. If not, I could always just change the difficulty in the .ini file.
So, I've been trying to solo normal for a while, and can do extremely well until the Patriarch, who fists me regardless of perk. Any tips for solo-ing him?

M99, Sharpshooter. He stands no chance, really.

Buy pipebombs, place pipebombs, buy pipebombs, place pipebombs, hide behind wall of pipebombs.

Making a giant pile of pipes does not work though. For each pipe exploding simultaneously, the first deals full damage and each one after that deals less and less damage. The most effective way is to create a trail of bombs and have him walk along it.

I did now know that, good to know!
Ok guys, I'ma get us a server setup here in the next few hours, hard difficulty, long wavelengths, any mutators I should have? I already plan on having Antiblocker and the Vote Handling Fix, maybe manual reload too. And will anybody get pissed that I have low level perks? I know how to play my class. I just don't want to go solo for the 100th time.
Levelling Support is a real pain in the ass, any ideas other that "ducktape m1 and go to sleep"?

Am I the only one who actually got enough welding points before the damage points?
Just go crazy with your welder and use it on doors that you never travel through, like how I weld the West London police station's main entrance shut.
On some maps with lots of doors you can keep the specimens coming in smaller numbers, making it easier to wipe them out.
I've just been wielding random doors shut in the spare time during the trader rounds while leveling up other classes. Seems to work well enough.

I got enough welding points for two levels by getting another friend going support and unwelding the door I was welding, it's fun to do that between waves. :v:
Is it easier to rank up perks in hard, like the commando or support where it requires you to get X amount of damage to level?

If you have high enough level and know how to play the game, then yeah.

Play on biotic labs more.
Oh holy shit, I just tried to go against the Patriarch balls out, ran to him...
Two headshots with the new rifle brought him down. What the fuck.
Oh god you can still get under the ground in Abusement Park. Will they ever fix this shit?!
With reguards to getting weld up (if your so inclined), leave the last zed alive, put a door between you and him, shift tab to get the steam overlay up while still welding. Do what ever the fuck you want for how ever long it takes.
Different note, i am getting sick of ranks 0 - 3 joining HoE games.

I did my best to guide them, but fucking hell i had to carry this damn team. Thankfully i crashed at wave 5 before i popped a blood vessle, that level 2 support really pissed me off, i gave him the money to buy a shotgun, he bought a damn hand cannon instead.
Before i crashed i was on 400 odd kills, the lvl 5 support had 100 and the 5 sharpy had about 160, the other 2 barely got a 100 between them but managed to live through a whole 1 level without wandering off and dying.
Please, don't join a HoE game or suicidal till you have at least a level 3 perk (medic can have some leeway), you just end up being a real burden to a team.

Support is actually really easy. Just weld all the doors you see, offices is neat to get some weld points.
Play Commando or Demolition, that takes forever.

Do the humane thing and just let them rage quit. The more they are not encouraged, the less likely they will play on those harder modes. Let them learn that they have to carry their own weight if they want to survive.

Press 'm1' while welding the door and open the steam overlay, this makes your character weld the door while you can access the steam overlay's features without interrupting the welding. That's what I did to level up mine. :v:
And here i was putting a book on my mouse to hold it down, I'm entirely serious about that.
Fuck the spin attack is way to op since is broken.
I was ALONE and the godamn bastard 1-hit kill me with the attack. If they don't code the fucking attack for more that 1 player is going to be so cheap trying to fight 1-1 with the Patriatch.
