I ended up fleshpound surfing the last time I played. A Fleshpound his me as I jumped and apparently lifted me onto his shoulders where no Zed could hit me. It was a short ride though, because someone shot his head off.

It resets if you set it while in a game. You have to set it at the main menu.

If you can afford it, the M99 outclasses the crossbow. To the point where it can be game breakingly overpowered.

They're going to nerf it, I'm sure. At least on the higher difficulties. The thing is just insanely powerful. I prefer the crossbow for the ammo capacity and reload speed, but I can never not upgrade to the M99 when I have the cash. Dropping everything smaller than the patriarch in one headshot is just an amazing feeling.

Has everyone seriously forgotten about the Xbow? That thing 1 hit's everything and 2-3 for a fleshpound, different how from the M99? ( i know the stats, but i've never seen a FP killed outright by a single m99 round alone with a 6 man team).
I honestly don't see what makes the M99 OP in the slightest, you are serverly gimped im comparrison to the Xbow which reloads just as fast, has more ammo (which can be retrived) and allows you to carry more than just your 9mm.
On lower difficulties it may 1 hit everything so maybe it could so with a nerf, but for HoE i'd rather it stay as it is or it'll just be another LAW.

On 6 man Hell On Earth, a level 6 Sharpshooter with the Crossbow requires a [i]minimum[/i] two headshots to kill a Scrake and a [i]minimum[/i] four headshots to kill a Fleshpound. If that level 6 Sharpshooter was using the M99, it would only take one headshot to kill a Scrake and two headshots to kill a Fleshpound.
The Crossbow's extra ammo doesn't make it better since, as you can see from these stats, the M99 will still kill more heavy specimens with its greater damage output using less shots. This greater damage output also means it kills faster than the Crossbow.

M99 does 4156 on a headshot on all difficulty levels as a level 6. Crossbow deals 1008 on HoE on a headshot to scrakes and fleshpounds. At level 6, the reload on the crossbow is .72, reload on the M99 is 1.75. M99 wins.
