My only characters are the Nightfall pack, SP Foster and the SP Pack #1, the Pyros and the Baddest Santa. Got no other character packs and I earned bugger all of last year's Halloween achievements. It's hard enough to find a game of Bedlam normally, let alone one on hard difficulty with competent players.
My Berserker was about level 2 back then, so the zerk-related achievements, whatever they were, were tough as nails, too.
I'm currently using Loadsamoney, but if I had Commander Chicken I'd use him every time. I couldn't beat Bedlam last year because I was always put with morons :(

Will there be another window of opportunity for unlocking him?
I'm sure when halloween rolls around they'll give everyone another chance.
Commando Chicken.
The new radial attack of the Patriarch, and the Suicidal difficulty are a real challenge for beat a map.
Yesterday i played 3 times Biotics in order to beat it. And i couldnt:
The first time, the Patriarch rushed to us, we couldnt run away, and their spin killed me and another 2 guys. Then, it disappears (that annoying bug). But unlike other times, the other 3 players spent nearly 30 minutes searching the patriarch, and is not found. Then, when all die, it pops-out like if he was in the map all the time. Everyone ragequits.
Second try. The Patriarch ran to us. We couldnt get down at time. He actives their spin attack and their machine gun and kills everyone.
Last try. He kills us when he launches a rocket from the other side of the map ("????" was the general reply after this).
The map that i most hate is Suburbia. Completly dark, you need a Firebug in order to see something. The husks just snipe on you at long distance, you cant see the crawlers and the stalkers (unless you be a Commando), and there arent many props to take cover. The roof of the "Piggy Bank" is the only place where you have a chance to survive.
EDIT: Why is this funny?
Berserker is the jack of trades, he can pretty much do anything but he's not the most efficient at it. So the berserker is probably the best perk to have if everyone else on your team dies.
The berserker is however totally fucking worthless on cramped maps like bioticlabs or offices because he can't move around enough to deal with zeds on those.
Don't generalize, I survived a fucking Suicidal wave of 198 zeds in Bioticslab as a zerker. Granted, it took me blood, sweat, tears and four Kevlars as well as like 25 minutes but I survived. A medic would've gotten caught in Clots. All I did for a long, long time was pick off weak zeds and kite the FP's, landing a Handcannon headshot at every corner and then running through the next hallway, rinse and repeat. Problem was there were three Fleshpounds at the same time once so I had to really leg it and fast. Zeds are fast fucks in Suicidal/HoE.
Also, I must be a minority, I really like Wyre, Bedlam and Suburbia.

I used SAM, I feel bad about it though, tbh the only reason I didn't wait to try and get him legitimately was for OCD reasons, I plan to try and get all the achievements this year though.
I tend to agree on the cramped maps not being idea for zerka, but ice breaker. peice of cake.
Suburbia is not a very good map for defending, it's much better to be mobile, the room at the back left is not bad, but that door goes and it's game over, the piggybank has your team spread out far too much all be it in the same room. A siren gets in behind a FP or Scrake and it's game over. Best bet is to play 5 zerkas and 1 medic, stay moving and get every zed lagging behind you picking them off 1 by 1.
Takes a long time but it's pretty easy.
Got my first level 5 perk there and decided to move up to suicidal difficulty, its really hard to find a decent team to win maps though, you get drop ins and drop outs and absolute jokers with 1 star perks running around like headless chickens, which is funny but when your trying to actually win it is just frustrating.
I love the atmosphere and setting of Bedlam, but I simply can't win it. Took quite a stretch to get the Normal and Hard achievements for it, but anything above that is simply impossible.
Hold the corridoor on the left, you stand a good chance, or if shit goes down, pick zerka and agaian kite all day.
Hold the corridoor on the left, you stand a good chance, or if shit goes down, pick zerka and agaian kite all day.
Yeah, I often do, just there's always a zed that gets through the shorter corridor, then another strolls in while the first one's being dealt with by the long corridor folks, then they pile on through the long corridor and it all goes downhill from there.
If I were to buy this game, would getting the bundle for all of the DLC really improve the enjoy-ability of the game or should I just grab the game itself.

DLC is just more character skins

Yep, you'll get the DLCs later if you enjoy the game, like many of us here.
Alright, thanks.

That's a funny way to spell icecave
join server
see level 1 support using m14EBR and level 0 commando using a shotgun
leave
So how do I get the steampunk mr.foster?By completing all summer achievements?
I can go one better than that
Play every round of Bedlam HoE with a team of 5, new player joins, all agree to go support + AA12 for patriach round,
Leave last zed alive get to trader on far side of map and kill it when we're ready, new player spawns no one looks at his perk.
with 5 seconds to spare, we see a level 2 sharpshooter with pyro skin running towards us, too late to buy anything and too late to kick before the round starts.
Patriach spawns on sharpshooter, he dies and leaves instantly.
5 of us loose, later figure out that if the 5 of us had started the round alone we would have killed the patty.
RAGE

"Unlock 10 of the 13 Circus Achievements along with any Abusement Park achievement."
I don't know if the new achievements count.
Just picked up the two new DLC packs for less than the price of one regular one.
Jesus. Join a match at round 2 on West London. Spectate berserker. He gets swarmed, runs to medic. Medic tries to help. Berserker leaves medic to get swarmed and die. He runs to the commando and proceeds to do the EXACT same thing. Disconnect. Lose a little faith in the KF community.
I lost a lot of faith in the community in the recent time, might be because of the new players though. Nevertheless is it that hard to understand how perks work and that there are several difficulties and such?
Whenever I played I had no problems with teammates, everything went fine. But now, it is a struggle.
GUYS, THE DLC IS ON SALE.
75% OFF.

I'm thinking of getting Killing Floor + Harold Lott Character Pack. But the Killing Floor pack goes for £0.51 more. What should I go for?
Only 50p, might as well do the whole lot.
Jesus. I wish I could get SP Foster during the rest of the year, because I'd just skip the next 2 weeks of KF to let the completely shit players fizzle out, and play with people who either stuck with it and learned or who aren't terrible.

You could always just SAM it.
Yeah, but that's cheating. The achievements aren't all that hard, it's just difficult dealing with people long enough to get them.
I got the Steampunk Foster in Singleplayer, wasn't too hard.
