Oh god, playing on peoples paranoia in games with bad team work is hilarious.
Killing Floor server browser is boned for me so I joined a game on normal with a bunch of fire bugs and commandos. Patriarch round comes up and he spawns pretty far away. I wait a good 15-20 seconds and out of the silence I use the "LOOK OUT!" command. I was immediately engulfed in flames, had two commandos orbiting me and even saw a crossbow bolt fly over my head.

Earlier me and my friend discussed how funny it would be to go on a map like Mountain Pass, buy a Chainsaw without telling anyone, then just whip it out and stalk the forest. Everyone will get paranoid thinking it's a Scrake hiding somewhere.

That idea sounds glorious, I'll go on a pub serv and see if it works.
I can't play on friendly fire servers. Too many idiot level 6 demos who purposefully join to kill everyone with one shot of their grenade launcher. God bless the ninja medic who kept quick healing everyone. I gave him all my money and left when my ping skyrocketed to 400 for some reason.
[editline]19th July 2012[/editline]
Also there are certain...problems with setting your tosscash to 1. Let's just say I was giving that medic my 1200 dosh for quite some time and I think I developed carpel tunnel from smashing my B key so hard.
We don't have a FP server, actually we don't even play together :v:
There used to be an FP server. I remember going on it all the time before I even found this forum.

Another fun thing to do to play on people's paranoia, is to randomly shoot down a hallway during the patriarch fight. The rest of the team will fuckin CHARGE to wherever you shot.

That's why you keep B for 50, and bind N to tosscash 1.
Is it only me, or is low level berserker goddamn hard? It doesn't boost you enough to be the murdermachine high level berserkers are, but you are put in a lot more harm's way when meleeing.
I wish the server browser would say what round people are on, and whether or not you can actually start playing or have to wait for the next round.

Someone should make a UI Patch that adds that and little character portraits next to the players names so there's not 3 Steampunk Fosters on a server.

The only way to even guess how far they've got is by looking at people's score which tells how much money they have. If they've got a decent amount of cash, then they're probably halfway through.

They're all lying, you bind tosscash 1 to MouseWheelUp.

Bind everything to:
WhateverIt'sSupposedToDo | TossCash 1
That way every key will do what it normally does and also make you toss 1 dollar.

Brilliant
I'm a level 3 berserker with a chainsaw and katana. What do I do about fleshpounds when I'm by myself?
I'm a level 3 berserker with a chainsaw and katana. What do I do about fleshpounds when I'm by myself?
Run in it's face with the katana and give it an alt swing to the face. Make sure the fleshpound gets to throw a few punches at you every couple times after you chop it. You should be fast enough to get away from the swing but they do a quick jab with their left arm (your left, not the fleshpound's) that's pretty hard to jump away from. The reason for this is because attacking resets the Fleshpounds rage timer. Breaking line of sight also does this. If everything goes smoothly you'll chop off it's head in just a couple of your sweet dance moves without pissing it off. This goes even faster with the fire axe or claymore.
Your katana has more range than you might know. Find your sweet spot that will let you get in, chop and get out with an easy rhythm.
If you can't break line of sight and can't get to him in time to reset his timer and you're forced to deal with him while he's enraged try and kite him around objects. Cars and even smaller things like trashcans or office cubicles can mess them up until they calm down. If all else fails your damage resistance will bounce you back from the hit really quick. I found even on HoE you can still tank at least one hit.
I dread the day and also can't wait for the day I get all level 6 perks. It will be an accomplishment but I won't have much incentive to play other than achievements.
When I get Level 5 / 6 I can finally play on Suicidal servers, maybe even HOE.
[editline]19th July 2012[/editline]
I have about 45k healing 'till Level 6 medic. I heal people a lot.
100000 takes fucking ages im still only on like 35000

Try to heal bad players and bersekers.
You will hit level 6 in a blink of the eye.

That's pretty much how I got to 5, thanks to the invasion of the newbs.
Hey, perhaps a silly question here but perhaps someone who has had killing floor longer than me can answer.
If you look at the character selection, you will see there is one where it is a WWII German soldier skin. Being Deutsch myself I would like this skin, but I cannot seem to find it in any pack of theirs.
Can you tell me where to find it?

I'm guessing you have to buy Red Orchestra deluxe.
It should tell you if you don't have it unlocked.

Aw, that's a shame I have to buy another game for it.
Oh well, I will resign myself to DJ Skully and pretend he is German.
I dont think you can even buy ro2 deluxe anymore
[editline]20th July 2012[/editline]
ignore that
you can
The Russian WW2 guy looks like he's holding an anti tank rifle when you have the M99.
