I think it's a matter of the hitboxes being funky than your shots going low/high.
No I mean if I fired a LAW rocket or husk gun shot it would sometimes go a good 15 degrees above where I'm aiming.
No I mean if I fired a LAW rocket or husk gun shot it would sometimes go a good 15 degrees above where I'm aiming.
what?
I don't use the husk gun much, but the LAW's red dot is perfectly zeroed.
If you're talking about the xbow, etc, I suggest you switch to the "texture" scope rather than the model scope for gameplay reasons.
I always wondered, can you do rocket jump with law?
I always wondered, can you do rocket jump with law?
No, it doesn't detonate with such a short distance.
;34802765']No, it doesn't detonate with such a short distance.
you can "rocket jump" with the explosion from a husk's fireball and from explosions from your own grenades
also you can use your grenades, properly stacked, to launch raging fleshpounds off the top of the cliff on mountainpass.
They don't take fall damage though, :(
Me and 4 other friends recently started playing this together and we suck, a lot! So far we haven't completed a game on normal! Can anyone give any tips to some new players? We all use mics and are communicating constantly but whenever we set up a defensive position we just get over run all the time. Usually when a Scrake or Gorefast comes we just get screwed over cos they run straight into us and we can't seem to take it down fast enough.
Headshoots will stop the gorefasts running to you. The team of a beginner/normal class should be contain all the perks (at least a medic, a sharpshooter and a berserk), share all the money you have in order to help the people get better weapons (but only if they deserve it), and heal your mates everytime you can, even if they have a 99% of health. And reload always.
When a Scrake comes, let the berserk kill him with their melee weapons (probably it will have yet the fire axe, or the katana), doing alt-attack to their head. Or the sharp headshoting him with a powerful weapon. But do not shoot him. If a FleshPound appears, well, shoot everything you have (grenades, bigger guns...the normal method. Use mainly explosive weapons) if you are away of him. If not, run until you keep a safe distance. Do not shoot him before time, or you will see how he slaughter your entire group quickly (especially if they doesnt have armor, that results in a one-hit kill).
And the true rule one of KF: Stick together and cooperate. You arent ready to try tactics like split the team in three groups, running clockwise and others. Most of the time, the squad dies because everyone "played alone" and no one cared about the rest. And this is a frustrating problem in Killing Floor, in any difficulty.
Start in the classic maps (West London first, left Manor for the last) and when you beat those maps, continue playing (i recommend left Icebreaker, Bedlam, Hospital Horrors and Suburbia for the last, since there are very difficult due the darkness/distance between traders/layout).
And say always thanks when you get healed/saved/got money from someone.
well, shit happened and i was the only one left on west london with, like, 7 ZEDs left.
oh and i have around 20 health left, syringe empty.
i was using the crossbow, killed a scrake from a good disance away along a few clots.
then our team-member goes: BEHIND YOU in the chat.
true enough, there was a crawler sneaking up on me.
turn around, backepedal and strafe strafe to dodge its jumping.
i go around a corner only to be scared shitless by a siren screaming right next to me.
"Stop helping me!!"
That moment when you finally kill the fleshpound that murdered the rest of your team, only to be finished off by a single crawler behind you which just so happens to be the last zed. True story.
I accidentally got some berzerker killed once because I saw some armor in one of the stables in icecave and let him know about it, but when he turned around to go back and get it it magically turned into a bullpup and he got fucked up by crawlers

my finger instinctively spams LMB whenever a siren enters the center of my screen.
TBH, if you want to level up sharpshooter faster, it's worth the time to learn the M14, rather than relying on the crossbow. Sure, it's not as reliable as the xbow when it comes to scrakes, but when you take out a scrake by landing 7 consecutive headshots on it, it sure feels good. It also is super good at cleaning up mid-tier shit like bloats, husks, and those fucking sirens.
The ability to 2 hit sirens on hard with the LAR and it's ability to drop gorefasts with 1 headshot is what makes it a god-tier weapon. That and it's ability to one-bodyshot crawlers.

you can almost always dodge the first attack of crawlers by jumping.
IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!
Tripwire has all this dosh, so much of it it's probably pouring out from the 1.1 MILLION COPIES SOLD
and now they're asking YOU what to do with with it:

Where's the "All of the Above" category :c
Seems like if it keeps going this way RO weapons will be selected, but I personally want makeshift weapons.
more historical british weapons please
fuck that nazi zombie bullshit.
Exploding harpoon gun :v:
An old Lee Enfield rifle would be cool.
An old Lee Enfield rifle would be cool.
why they didn't make a enfield instead of the lever action is beyond me.

The wall here would be about medium to long range away.
It's not every shot either, just whenever the game feels like it I guess. It also happens with other projectile weapons like I said like LAW/Husk gun.
And yes I use textured scope but that doesn't explain the LAW and husk gun doing it.
Gahh can't decide between historical eastern front weapons or unorthodox weapons!
firebug needs some cool new gun
Whoops, didn't see the link.
Why RO weapons? I love the Mosin as much as the next guy, but why in KF?
Whoops, didn't see the link.

Because it'll offer lots of things for each class. I haven't got the money for RO2 yet, but if it's like other WWII games it'll have all kinds of semi-auto rifles, SMG's, sniper rifles, machine guns and other such things.
Plus, bayonet-equipped rifles for the Bezerkers.
firebug is worse
and people were bitching about the killstealing, not the smoke.
they were pissed because I fired on groups of specimens usually at sharpshooter-ish range. depriving them of said kills.
[editline]21st February 2012[/editline]
team should have at least 1 medic and sharp, and no firebugs/demos
I would recommend medic/2xsharp/commando/support.
sharps use Lever-Action against gorefasts and xbow against scrakes.
support should keep a hunting shotgun so you can kill scrakes with the alt-fire when they get close in.
use xbow for scrake/FP, go for the headshots.
On low levels medic should consider buying an xbow as well since they can stun it with headshots, then kill it with a followup shot.
Let me stop your firebug rage for some seconds. Since Firebug is my main perk I hate how everybody hates, degrade and underestimate him while he can make a very good partner in this jolly sport of killing ZEDs.
We can slow down zeds, we are a very good trash eliminators and with that we clean the way for other perks (sharpshooters and bersekers) Great ammo pool and husk immunity (over level 3)
If you know how to play firebug you will never hear complains about SS and bersekers.
Nearly got firebug to 5, should I go for berzerker or commando next? They're both at around 2.4m damage.
Nearly got firebug to 5, should I go for berzerker or commando next? They're both at around 2.4m damage.
Commando is way harder and you'd do better to level it off-perk. Go Zerker, it's the fucking best.
Yeah commando is pretty shitty compared to berserker.
Zerkers eat Sirens, Clots and Crawlers for breakfast, though.
commando could use something like a BAR as a new weapon.
commando could use something like a BAR as a new weapon.
Or the Bren LMG.
Improvised weaponry? I can see those firebugs running around with spray cans and lighters.
how about that trebuchet for sharpshooter that shoot mini berserkers :v:

he said he was new to the game, and new firebugs (who don't know your magical ninja firebug ways) will usually screw up the time of SS/berserkers
note how I also said demo?
I play demo a LOT yet I wouldn't recommend it for new players, since there's a lot of potential for vision obscuring.
firebugs are great teammates on dark maps since they can light up the specimens so you can see them better.

firebug has 3 weapons (mac/flamer/husk) like most other classes.
medic has 2 weapons.
more medic weapons.
aka a SCAR without the sight?
