Uhh... that's kinda his job. Your job as a demo is crowd control. Not target elimination.
but they took his job!
What classes are usually played the most? Sharpshooter?
In order of what you see most of it's generally Sharpshooter, Support, Commando / Medic, followed by the rest. Unlike the other perks (excluding berserkers and medics) you can have 2 / 3 of the team playing as the above and not be at a dissadvantage ever.
But the margins are most likely very tight untill you hit HoE where it's rare you'll see a Firebug.
Uhh... that's kinda his job. Your job as a demo is crowd control. Not target elimination.
Actually im inclined to say a Demo with pipes and a LAW are for target elimination just like an m99 sharpy, they are actually better imo because pipes are a great last line of defense rather than a sharpies pistol.
also a sharpy should be dealing with husks, the m99 will last wave 10 HoE killing sirens, husks, scrakes and fleshpounds. There is enough ammo for it, so long as your not a bad shot that is, and the LAR in a sharpy 6 hands can deal with everything easily below a FP (You stun scrakes with each headshot,m takes 5 to kill), and the FP is still not that difficult so long as you have a team backing you up incase you miss (i think it's 8 headshots to kill a FP).
demos duty is to sace up for maximal amount of pipebombs for the patriarch and do the suicide rush with your pipebomb hat.
does it even work anymore?
Demo is fun, I just wish higher level demos (~4) got smokeless explosives, then you could play it in a higher level game and you wouldn't get yelled at by everyone (maybe).
Remember that the Berserker can handle Scrakes without any danger of being hurt.
The thing that i most hate being a demo is when you spend your money buying a expensive pipebomb, you drop one, and just in that moment a Siren appears and destroys it. Or when a Fleshpound activates it but your mates kills him before it explodes.
I get more money in Suicidal healing than killing :suicide:

Remember you can shoot a Pipebomb to set it off manually. Great for people trying to steal the Fleshie kill or exploding something that's fast enough to run over it and not get caught in the explosion.

Is it possible to still get Steampunk Mr.Foster?
It was possible while the event lasted, now you have to wait, probably until Halloween.
They don't have M99 resistance.
hence why the M99 breaks the game.
though me and a SSbro were having fun running M99/LAW on farm
he would plunk a headshot in with the M99, I would asplode that shit with the LAW
or vice versa

If you are able to switch to a bullet-based weapon, aim and shoot the pipebomb just when dozens of zeds are rushing in your face (mostly gorefasts) and trying to look something between the smoke before the sharpshooter kills him, you deserve a medal.

it's not for that, it's for detonating it at exactly the right time instead of having the auto-trigger have a delayed boom. Afaik, you can also shoot it before a fleshpound hits it to knock it back
halloween is commando chicken time

You can still do normal achievements, I got most of them last Halloween, got one or two missing this summer.
Something that pisses me off to no end about this game is: when a gorefast is charging you and you are just unloading into their face, yet they still keep coming.
This game kinda reminds me of Castlevania 3 whenever I play Sharpshooter.
THE FUCKING STAIRS
they ruin my shots so badly

The entire point of the M99 is so the sharpshooter can safely deal with bigger threats while leaving anything smaller than a scrake to the rest of the team. The massively low amount of ammo in the thing makes it a liability if you use it to drop anything else, bar maybe multiple husks at once. Unless you run around the map picking up ammo crates, using it against trash is going to be a huge waste. And if you do run around the map picking up ammo crates, you're probably going to get mauled in the face by a half-dozen sirens when you take a corner too sharply.

aye but it's pretty much an end-all solution for big threats, it can handle both FPs and scrakes
previously you had to take along a demo for the FPs.
And the demo's always been better at crowd control than anyone else, making the sharpshooter virtually obsolete. In HoE they deal complete shit damage to scrakes and fleshpounds, so the berserker has to handle the scrakes and the demo the fleshpounds. Where does that leave the sharpshooter? Sirens and husks. Oh boy. Those things that a commando could deal with in maybe an extra 2 seconds' time.

no actually commando and support are the best crowd control classes since they aren't limited by range, especially considering the tightness of some KF maps.
Sharpshooters should deal with husks, scrakes, and sirens, with trash a lower priority.
Seriously though, you talk about this game as if it's a hugely tactical game.
When in actuality what happens is people either move around the map and kill things or camp and kill things.
Tonight my friend decided to try Berserk and also help me farm Medic heals a bit
I finally reached medic 4, and he got his berserk almost close to 2. Feel good man.
57-bullets MP5, GO
I just with the dart detection wasn't so shit
Anyone else getting server browser problems? Been getting steadily worse over the past couple of weeks, now its got to the point that nothings showing up and i gotta join via ip adresses.

Theres 2 different games wthin KF that cater for both the 'serious' players and those that just wanna kick back and shoot some things.

I usually play on higher difficulties where protecting the Demo is more of a given between all the players (though they are rarely in play, they just cost too much). The team usually ends up putting him in the middle or at the back where he won't have to worry about the small stuff and assail the Fleshpounds and swarms of little things. Press 2 to pull out the 9mm and pop a shot near the red light for an easy premature trip.
This is only pinpoint detonation for the faster things that can almost or completely escape the blast radius. If dozens of zeds are in your face the pipebomb will detonate on it's own without shooting it.
Going for my Support next because i never really realized how much fun shotguns were. Its fun blasting zeds up into the air.
why do people self-heal WHILE RUNNING AT A MEDIC?
your not going to magically get to 100 health from one little poke on your wrist!
your not in imminent mortal danger!
you could atleast heal that guy next to you!
BUT NO!

The only time I self heal is when Im under 40 hp.
Pretty much any attack will kill you if you don't have armor left.
Or when the medic think he is a commando and barely heal somebody.
How about everyone works together to kill shit and no one has an overly-specific role.
that's a problem with the 2 largest specimens, which requires specific perks to take them out
if everyone just focus-fires then shit gets bad

Suicidal/HoE = tactical
Hard/Normal = casual
Beginner = godmode

I need to make a bind that says in big letters that healing others will give you money but healing yourself won't. Maybe that would make the little bastards be more encouraged to not self-heal.
Goddamn the monkey scrakes are so much easier to speed kill as a support
