Really? You'd think they'd find some other, less obnoxious way to show you're playing as Ash in first person. Or they could just not worry about, it'd be pretty obvious when a woman's voice plays all your voice clips, and you see her standing there beside your perks when you join a server.

Is it normal that connecting to any non-vanilla server,with mods the game has already installed for me from connecting to other servers,takes absolutely ages,where it redownloads every single goddamn thing(I've probably installed the doom 3 monsters like 50 times now damnit don't I have the files already)?

It's incredibly unfitting and somewhat stereotypical.
If they did it as a gag, then I can let it slide, but she seems to be just as serious (as serious as KF gets) as the default characters.

A zombie outbreak caused by a UK plan for super-soldiers, lead by a lonely scientist? And you play as characters who are trying to stop this outbreak. The only thing silly about the game, really, is the voices and the special characters (Bad Santa, Harold Lott, etc)
Look at the default characters, and imagine if they had "normal" voices, instead of the silly KF ones.
The game would have an entirely different tone.

I'll remember that when i'm in a super-duper serious situation where i'm wearing a skeleton costume chopping heads off with a katana, without humerous voices.
The Christmas Stalker is personally my favorite
