The number one rule:
DON'T ROLEPLAY AS THE CHARACTERS.
don't bother because you will never be as good as SirRonLionheart

I view them all the time, how could I not know what one is
The OP already made it clear that he wanted to do a let's play in video format.
If you're doing a let's play, you don't HAVE to do it on something awful and follow the rules there, you know?
No, you don't have to, but SA has a relatively high standard of quality. Even if you don't want to spend :10bux:, there are other, free forums where you can get feedback and advice that'll help you improve far more than the average YouTube commentator.
I find screenshot LPs boring (usually, not always).
It really depends on the game. Action games make boring SSLPs, but RPGs make boring VLPs.

There's more than one style of LP. It's not limited to videos with audio commentary- I've been LPing for a while now, and not once have I used a microphone. Screenshots and subtitles can be very effective.
Anyway, OP, I would recommend not doing Bioshock 2. It's a popular game, it's pretty new, and I'm almost certain you're not familiar enough with it to properly show it off. In general, you don't want to LP a game if it's been released in the last 3 months; it's not a hard-and-fast rule, but having that extra time between playing the game and LPing it gives you time to learn the game and decide if you actually like it enough to LP. When you're playing something that came out in the last couple of weeks, you look like you're just bandwagoning and trying to get subscribers.
Make a Let's Play of I Wanna Be The Guy :D I love those.

Blind let's plays are fun to watch though.

That depends on a lot of factors, though.
Blind LPs can be fun, sure. Giant Bomb's Persona 4 Endurance Run was done (mostly) blind, and it's the only example of a good VLP of an RPG I can think of (although only if you skip all of the dungeon crawling). However, that one worked because the commentators were very funny and they took advice from people who knew better so they didn't spend as much time faffing about.
However, more often than not a blind LP will lead very boring videos where the LPer is just running around trying to figure out what they have to do next while making unfunny comments. This can be circumvented with editing, of course, but in general it's better to LP a game you're familiar with.

Dunno if you saw the example video I posted of a BAD LP, but that guy was familiar with the game he was playing, and he took it in a such a way that he decided to talk over all of the cutscenes, objectives, and pretty much everything else, just to talk about how he didn't want to watch the cutscenes or about how he already knows what to do, or about how he is tired because he just got home from some random shit that I don't particularly care about
