Amazing graphics, probably the best I've seen. And I'm playing on medium-high settings. There's ultra high setting.
What rig are you running and what sort of framerates are you getting?
It's released on Steam now. Several hours early too.
got retail
I pre-ordered on steam a while ago and now it's staring at me with a shiny 'install' button but I'm not home and on my laptop so I have to wait a few hours. :saddowns:
seems like everyone who bought retail is have problems with their cd keys
"The steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request" Of course. [editline]17th May 2011[/editline] Even the servers in India are too busy, I'll give up. I hate Steam sometimes...
What rig are you running and what sort of framerates are you getting?
4 gb ram, quad 3.0 ghz and radeon 4670. Don't know about framerates, playable for me.
Thinking about getting this, but I didn't play the first Witcher. Anything I should know?
Hmph by the time I finish downloading the Witcher 2 I'll have finished the Witcher 1, and I'm only on Chapter III.
16GB on Steam
I hoped there was some way to auto-download it upon release, since I was at school while it became available. They seriously need to implement this function in Steam, really. However, I come back, fire Steam up and see the "Install" button ready. PUSH THAT SHIT LIKE A BOSS
Steam servers are temporarily busy, please try again later.

FUCK DAMMIT
I keep switching between servers. Right now I visited half of Scandinavia. Russia and surroundings are next. SHIT, THERE MUST BE ONE WORKING SOMEWHERE [editline]17th May 2011[/editline] I'm thinking about many, many bad things right now.
One of the Australian servers worked for me, it's only downloading at about 400 kb/s though, so it'll take around 8 hours. :saddowns:
85 dollars on jb hi fi. Great price. And released today. Not sure when I'll go, having that I buy too much games. But there's also ebgames, It costs 88 dollars. So either under a 100 dollars is good enough for me.

[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/U4lqP.jpg[/img_thumb]
Avast is by far, the most shoddy Antivirus you could poses, you'd be better off just swinging a moldy smegma encrusted penis into your Ethernet port, because that will infect, offer better protection.
Avast is by far, the most shoddy Antivirus you could poses, you'd be better off just swinging a moldy smegma encrusted penis into your Ethernet port, because that will infect, offer better protection.
isn't that what people say about Norton, or pretty much anyone who stands by a certain antivirus program; That every program expect theres is shit. As well, what antivirus software do you use then?

The steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request.
Try Siberia, I always get good speeds from there and its almost never used.
Steam servers in Siberia? I am just imagining a small shed with a single server rack surrounded by ice-covered wastes :v:
Steam sucks ass with big releases. For 2 hours i've been trying to just start the download, but it's too busy.
anyone have some tips for the combat.. what do the individual signs do, I've not been told yet. i keep dying :x
Try every one and you will get a message about what it does.
Can someone please post pictures ingame that isn't spoilerish?
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/337560/2011-05-17_00014.jpg Far from maximum settings and it looks breathtaking in some locations.
Anyone got any tips for optimizing this game, Even with nearly everything turned as low as it will go, I'm still lagging pretty badly.
