Can someone with the retail or Steam version please post your game version? Cause someone said that GoG version is not up to date. The GoG Witcher2.exe is 1.0.6041.43456
The current situation seems pretty bad... Both GOG and Steam forums are full of people with all kinds of technical problems.
I'll see for myself in about an hour when Steam finally finishes the download.

Also to people with issues and NV cards, uninstall any 3D drivers you have. My friend has a 460 and a quad 6600 and says the game runs extremely smooth. Turn off motion blur and uberaliasing or something too

What's worse is that the official forums on The Witcher 2 site are STILL not up. And CDPR is nowhere to be found on Twitter/FB. And they decide to redesign the fucking forums a day before the game launches :wtc: CDPR

Ugh kinda pissed with UPS. I ordered amazon release day delivery, and here i am at 3pm wondering where my package is (when I did it with Crysis 2, I got it at around noon).
I'm looking at my tracking number and it says my package hasn't even gotten to Ohio yet... at this rate I wont get it till tomorrow, which sucks as I'll be busy for the next two days :(

Oh ffs. It's probably just me, but 3d person controls are just killing me. I mean literally. I died like 534 times at the very beginning of "Trial by fire". It feels like all I can do is just randomly mash m1 and casting magic ball that knocks people on the ground.

It's more cinematic that way. At least in their opinion.
Just started playing, the game is running fine for me so far on the High preset. Man does this game look stunning.
Save importing seems to work too, I had the Raven armor and two swords in my inventory from Witcher 1.
the 16:9 ratio is annoying as fuck though. I hope they patch that soon.

Was the same way with the original as well. They didn't expect the amount of sales they got and it took about a week to everything smoothed out.
My copy finally arrived. Hella nice packaging, but I was surprised by the papercraft, since I saw, and expected, the cubeecraft style they showed off often. Still, it looks nice and keeps me distracted while the game is installing.

From what I played its predy much mouse spam till you win the trick being you have to think what combo will be best for the situation.

I've got to run it with most everything on low otherwise it lags and I've got a 6970. I can't imagine my CPU would cause such a drop either, Phenom II X2. Still, it looks greats regardless. Hard as fuck though, damn I died so many times. Right now I'm stuck at the part with the [sp]dragon[/sp] at the beginning and I can't get past the first area.
